What's the first thing you do after checking in?

Do you go out and explore the resort? Unpack? Get something to eat? Go for a swim? Hit the parks? What do you usually do first?

Since we drove straight-thru, the first and only thing we did after checking in around 4 a.m. was go to sleep! We slept till 11 am and decided to take it easy because when the kids saw the Swan's pools, they HAD to go swimming!

Luckily we stayed 9 days so we could afford the lazy day!

1. Inspect the room, will be happy here?
2. Put our clothes away in the drawers.
3. Get food and swim. We arrive around 6 pm each time.

Go to the room and freshen up a bit, then get a bite to eat. We then head to the MK. Have to see the castle first thing!!!

After unpacking, we head straight to MK. It's a tradition.

Check out the room. Unpack. Maybe swim at resort pool. Hit a character meal, usually CM. Hit the hay for park opening the next morning.

We are staying two nights at the Nickelodeon kids suites for two nights before we get to Disney so we have a little time to relax before we get there. We are doing the Sunrise Safari at AKL the first morning so we have to check into the AKL first. The Concierge will hold our bags until we get back that day. When we actually DO get to our room, we will check and see who will sleep where, unpack our clothes and maybe go for a swim. We will be heading to the Poly two days later and have to do it all over again. Ah well, What you do for fun! Helen

It's a me thing, but I need to unpack and put everything in it's place (clothes in drawers/closet, toiletries in bathroom, etc.). This way the luggage can go in the closet, not to be seen again until I have to pack to go home. Once I'm done that (I will get to my resort around noon), I can head out to WCC for lunch, then off to tour the Magic Kingdom & EPCOT resorts to see all their decorations and then over to EPCOT for the tree lighting ceremony and dinner at the Rose & Crown.

We go the Grand Floridian Cafe for lunch and then check out the Grand Floridian's beautiful Christmas decorations.

We always check-in and if the room is ready we unpack the van and check out our room. If the room isn't ready we explore the resort we'll be staying at. The day we arrive is always explore the resorts day...not just the one we're staying at, but all the others as well. We also ride the monorail resort loop taking in the sight of MK knowing our next day we'll be having fun there.

We usually take an earl a.m. flight, so after we get to the resort we store our bags, go to MK, and get a FP for either Splash or Space Mountain. We always have lunch the first day at CHH

It depends on when we get there but if its during daylight we unpack the car, then head to MK.

We usually arrive around 10:30 a.m. or so.

First, we head to the room - if hungry we drop our stuff and go eat... if not, we grab our suits and head to the pool. After relaxing there, we head to MK for the afternoon/evening!! That's OUR tradition

Before kids, it was hit the park.... with kids now, we settle in and hit the pool and grab lunch since we usually arrive around 12:30-1:30pm. After a dip in the pool, we generally go to Epcot since it's walking distance from where we stay (YC/BC)
