What's the first resort you ever stayed at?

My first Disney resort was CBR in the summer of 1989. Man were their mugs weird looking back then :teeth:

My first was GF when it was one year old. I went there last year and will be there again in 9 days!:smooth: :smooth:

We stayed at CBR - loved it - my third son was a baby so fit into the crib. Now , they are all older and we can't stay their unless we rent 2 rooms. We got spoiled last year with YC and now like to stay on the boardwalk.

My first resort was with my parents in 1985 at Yacht Club... loved it!

Ours was Dixie Landings, but we have since stayed in Wilderness Lodge. Have a soft spot for DxL but my fave is WL.

Polynesian!

Yes, we have gone to most resorts and continue to go to the Poly as well.

1972 at Fort Wilderness and then didn't go again until 1995! For that trip we stayed in the bungalos at Disney Village; and then one of the DD hotels, SOG many times, GF, BWI, BWV, BC, Swan, AKL, CR, CSR, and BC. Next trip is in October and we'll be at CR.

Our first stay onsite was in May 1983 in the FW cabins. Next visit was in November of the same year to the Polynesian and we found our favorite.

Our first was the French Quarter and that remains our favorite moderate however we have since discovered AKL and I don't think we will ever stay anywhere else again :p

First time I ever visited WDW, we stayed at a Holiday Inn on I-Drive beside Wet n Wild (it would have been the very early 80's).

The following year, my parents reserved the Lake Buena Vista Vistana resort through a brochure, thinking it was part of WDW (turns out the brochure was waaayyy misleading- and remember we were in Ireland at this stage and hadn't really much of an idea about WDW)- all us kids (5 of us) were really disappointed (and I think my parents were too), so my dad (lord rest his soul) drove straight to the reservations office in Disney village and hooked us up with a two bed townhouse in what is now Disney Institute.

We loved it- I still remember the information booklets with the blue birds flying across the circle logo, switching on the TV to see the WDW resort channel, walking down to the village with my brothers and sisters across the bark lined paths. We returned a couple of times, but sadly the villas are no more:( .

Last year I got to go back with my own kids and stayed at the GF and AKL for a very short stay. This year we'll be FTP'ing it at the GF!!!

The Poly was first followed by.....CB, All Star Sports(2) All Star Music, Boardwalk Villas,(6) Beach Club Villas, Old Key West, Beach Club again,CSR, AKL(3), and We are offf to Boardwalk Villas and AKL in 3 weeks!!!!

My first was the Tree House Villas and then the Fairway Villas (anyone remember those?)
YES!!! If you look at my signature, you'll see that our second trip was in the Fairway Villas. We had a family of 6 and we LOVED it...it was huge!

Our first trip split between the Poly and the Golf Resort. I know, I know, who ever heard of the Golf Resort...

My first stay on site was at Dixie Landings. It was so charming!:teeth: But now we stay at the All star resorts because we do spend so little time in our room.

123JOANNA123, great links! Thanks for those.

My first trip was off property. And you still bought a book of tickets that you ripped out to ride what you wanted ( a rides, b rides, etc. ) That was late 70's. Then we stayed at the CR. There were only 4 Dw properties at the time. Have since stayed in:

CR
POR Alligator Bayou Bldg. 26
Townhouse at Disney Institute
Fw Wilderness Cabin
1/ 2004 Pop Century
