What's the difference between MYW tix and a package?

I priced our trip buying tix and room only ressies vs buying the MYW package, and I can't see a difference described anywhere, but the price difference was about $40 or so. The $40 isn't that big of a deal, but does the package include anything other than tix and a room? I know you can add the dining option to the package, but that's all I've found so far.

As far as I know there would be no difference without the dining plan. I can't imagine why the $40 difference. Was the package more? Maybe you are paying for the brochures and various other material you get with a package.

It was the package that was higher. I don't remember the exact #'s, and I don't know now where I wrote them down, but it was around 40 or so. Just puzzled me because I know the the DM package you got the choice of mini-golf or a Planet Hollywood gift cert or something, but I didn't see anything like that with MYW, unless I'm missing it.

If you are going after May 5th, than it includes the Magical Express...which is airport transfers.

Magical Express is free, it shouldn't make any difference.

There may be a few reasons for the price difference.

I don't know how the new booking engine works, but Disney used to be REAL tricky with their bookings. Even if you specify a standard view, it used to give you quotes for concierge.

The other reason is you may have booked a code rate or something on your room-only reservation - and those won't apply to packages.

If you were doing this all online, give Disney a call and speak to a reservation agent.
