I called today to add some days to our existing reservation and then I asked about making our dining reservations - 180 days would be tomorrow. I was told that they are revamping the whole reservation system and that even now people can only make reservations for booked hotel dates up until March 20th or so.

Can someone explain what is going on and if you have heard any rumblings.

Thanks - Diane:santa:

DIANE: check out the Restaurant Board...there is a Sticky at the top explaining the very latest. (Just read the first entry, no need to view all 62 pages :scared: ).
Yes, ADRs can only be made up until 3/22/09 at this time (except for Victoria & Albert's, Chef Mickey's and Cinderella's Royal Table, those ADRs continue to be apply the 180 day rule). Unfortunately the updates to the reservation system are taking longer than anticipated, causing a long wait for those trying to book past 3/22/09. I have been watching the thread on the Restaurant Board along with many others who are in the same boat.:rolleyes1

Good luck...

Disney's IT shop is "upgrading the reservation system" This is the same shop that doesn't seem to be able to fix the member website.

Be afraid.... be VERY afraid LOL!

I called yesterday (Monday) to make some ADR's for our June trip and I was given a date of December 15. That's when they said the "new" system will be up and running. We'll see...

Even AKV concierge can't book the safaris until this new system is up. We have 'tentative' safari's booked, but not officially!

They are going to use all that experience to open a new attraction next to the Haunted House. Disney's programmers of Terror! See Servers crash, watch DVC points mysteriously disappear and then reappear, watch your dining reservations morph from the California Grill to the Lunching Pad! (all brought to you in partnership of Disney and Microsoft). :rotfl:
