My mom and I were talking last night and she was looking over her receipt from when we stayed at POR last May and she said "I can't believe I only paid $55 each for our rooms last year". I was in shock. $55! for a moderate! And she didn't have a code or anything it was just from talking to the reservation people and asking about any specials. What's the best deal you've received?

if you go back a few years, they're all good deals! Altho, I think I'm going to go try to find my scrapbook from our honeymoon in '91, since we're staying at the same resort this anniversary.....if I find it I'll post it. I almost don't want to know how cheap it was then!

:3dglasses
sorry, I just like the glasses guy!

$0. Yes, $0. :goodvibes For 3 nights at AKL in a deluxe savannah.

$49 at the ASMo! Oh how I miss those great discount days...

We paid $75 for the Swan in May 2001. We also I believe had $59 for ASMo in May 2000. :)

Something like $49 + tax for Pop Century last Dec. with an AP rate.

Most was probably $290 or so for Poly in 2002.

I liked Pop better. :teeth:

AKL was my favorite though. I forget the exact amount but I think it was around $139 for a standard view back in May with an AP rate.

ETA : I broke down and am making plans for my next trip. My next trip will be in Feb at the Boardwalk. I will probably be paying $260 +tax a night if I can get a AAA rate. I won't have an AP at this time. :(

$55 CBR
$135 for FWC
$140 Contemporary
$146 BWI
$175 BC
$239 Poly concierge
$70 Swan
and the cheapest I have gotten PC was $55

How? How? How? All AP discounts? Just curious....

$49 for All Star Sports
$79 for Dixie Landings (now Port Orleans Riverside)
$99 for Animal Kingdom Lodge
$119 for Hard Rock Hotel (Universal)
$129 for Dolphin
$189 for the Poly

Even though it isn't the cheapest, I still think the best deal was the Poly for $189!!! What I wouldn't give for that rate now!!!!! :goodvibes

And if you wonder how??? They were all public rates thatanybody could get!!!

Had I not had to postpone the trip, it would have been $49 - Values - late Nov/early Dec. - post card rate last year..

I've only been to WDW once before.

$99 at the Grosvenor Oct 1998.

This trip that starts on Saturday, I don't know!!!! :smooth:

We are getting the CM trip, and it's $699 per person and includes room at POR, flight from LAX, and of course we get in free.

I have no idea how that is divided up, but it was such a great bargain, we couldn't turn it down.

$49.00 - All Star Music Oct/Nov. 2001
$109.00 - Polynesian Dec. 2002

Myst

Does $41 a night for the Poly in 1983 count? :rotfl:

We got POFQ last December for $76 a night! And I'm STILL excited about what a great deal it was! -- I'd give anything to get that again!

This doesn't really count, cause it wasn't a deal everyone could get, but it enabled us to take a 10 day vacation in 2003----$66 a night at the CONTEMPORARY.

Shades of Green was down for rehab and they were putting everyone up at the military rate (at the time DH was only E5 and therefore could score the cheapest rate) at the Contemporary. We almost fell over when we saw the pricing and immediately booked. Although the CR isn't my favorite, I would stay there anytime for that price!

In fact, my mom and I stayed there again later that year for 6 nights while she was in Orlando for a nursing convention.

Then even later that year, DH went to a conference in Jacksonville, FL, but had the weekend "off." He drove to Orlando and stayed at the CR for 2 nights at that rate AND got in the parks free with the Salute the Troops deal.

I counted it up and someone in our family stayed at the CR for 19 nights that year. And we live in Oregon! Not exactly a hop skip from Orlando, but with those rates, and super cheap flights on Southwest, how could we resist! :teeth:

$0 for 4 nights at the Beach Club......$49.00/nite at POP.

How are you getting these great discounts? Those of you who quoted the most recent rates (like from earlier this year). AAA? And how do I get those postcards?
