What's the big deal with the clown pool?

It's the Clown. The pool itself is very nice. Disney could have chosen from so many of their own characters including Dumbo or Goofy to create a similar effect but instead selected an icon many folk have a phobia of: the clown. Just wait 'till you see it lit up at night LOL

We LOVE BWV! And my kids, at 19! still love the pool slide. The clown.....I totally get it, why people don't like it.....but I also have to laugh because all the ongoings about the clown is just so darnto me! But, again, I do get it and if it were up to me, it wouldn't be
mr. scary clown face - I'd go for goofy dressed as a clown maybe?

After this last trip, we have stayed at all the on-site DVCs except AKV and of course BLT. So we asked the kids which was their favorite pool, and they both voted BWV. They said it's the best slide, and that was after we had just stayed at BCV. I much prefer BWV pool over BCV, it's so much easier to navigate!

We loved that pool. DD spent the entire day going up and down the slide.

Have stayed at BWV twice but never gotten in the pool. DH says "the clown looks like it's vomiting children" So from that day on, it became The Child-Vomiting Clown Pool.

I'm sure we'll swim in it one day and LOVE it!

We stayed at BWV for the first time this past February, primarily for easy access to DHS for ESPN the Weekend for two 16 year old boys. Not crazy for clowns, but DH and I spent a fair amount of time at the pool. We loved it, and actually loved the whole resort! So much so that we are now waiting for ROFR by Disney for an add on!!

The clown was truly a non-issue (not that I ever really thought it would be a problem.) And we loved the way the seating areas were broken up into smaller sections and not one big area of chair after chair after chair. . .

Luna park at the original Boardwalk must have a clown. Luna Park in Sydney had one as well-this one seems creepy to me, BWV seems fine.

Now that is scary!!

Clowns are evil. Maleficent's face on that slide would be more comforting.
