We (me, DH, DS10, DS8, DD6, Grandpa and Grandma) are planning a trip for 2007 and I'm considering possible dates.

Would early March or early May be better in terms of crowds? Have you been either of those times and can give me a hint on how busy it is?

Also, is it better to purchase a package through the Disney website or to piece it together ourselves? Any hints on saving us some money?

We visit in early May every year and it's wonderful. The weather is warm, but not too hot/humid yet, and crowds are usually low because you're between spring break/Easter and end of the school year. Early March can be good too, but it really depends on when Easter falls.

You may want to check the budget board here in the DIS for help w/ the other questions.

Early May gets my vote!

Early May! The weather is consistently warm, and the spring breaks are over. Every time we have gone in May, there has been little or no wait for everything. It is also warm enough to swim!
