What's the best section to request at SSR?

We are staying at Saratoga for one week the last week in August, check in Saturday the 20th, checkout Sat. the 27th. It will be DH, myself, DS8 and DS5. The last time we stayed at Saratoga was a few years ago, and we were in the Carousel section. What would be the top two sections to request? We plan on doing a lot of swimming, so we'll probably want to be somewhat near the new Paddock pool, but we may want to check out the Springs pool also. We won't have a car, so what section would be good for bus pick-up? Anyone been at Disney in late August? What was your experience with the weather and crowds? Thanks!

We love the Paddock section and with the new pool I wouldn't hesitate to request that section. We stay away from the Springs section just because we don't like being the last bus stop.

Thanks. I want to stay in the Paddock section to be close to the new pool, or the Springs because it looks like any easy walk everywhere. DH wants to request the Grandstands so we will be in a quieter area. I did a "SSR" search and saw there are a lot of threads asking this question, so I'll look those over too. If we stayed in the Springs, would it be that inconvenient to walk to a different bus stop to avoid being at the last stop?

It really depends on your preferences and what you consider an easy walk.

The stops, in order, are Grandstand, Carousel, Paddock, Congress Park, then Springs. (I've seen a lot of standing room-only busses at springs and a few at Congress Park)

In general, I think walking to Carousel or Paddock would work the best from the Springs buildings.

If you are first eating at AP or Turf Club, you might be able to walk to Grandstand from the main area, but GS only connects via a walkway from the lobby dropoff area, still what I consider to be a long walk (10 mins?).. So I never bothered to try it.

If you are at Springs, it is an easy walk to Paddocks.

We stayed in the Springs when we stayed there in April 2010. It's a central location, plus it's right near High Rock Spring Pool and the Carriage House. The Springs bus stop is the last one, so it means you wait a little while longer to get off when returning, but when going anywhere you go straight there. It's also an easy walk through the Carriage House to the DTD boat, which is great if you don't want to walk.
