I think one of the problems with crowds is that not everything is still not open. Some are big things that would draw crowds away (Fantasmic) and some are smaller. Plus some restaurants.
What is still not open?

  • Citizens of Main Street.
  • Main Street Trolley Show.
  • Main Street Philharmonic at Storybook Circus.
  • Meet Ariel at her Grotto.
  • Meet Alice and Wonderland at the Mad Tea Party.

You mentioned Citizens of Main Street, but don't forget Citizens of Hollywood. DHS isn't the same without them.

The stores on Sunset Boulevard that used to be Sweet Spell, Scary Apothecary, and Villains in Vogue but was then changed to a Toy Story shop has been closed for a while. I haven't seen Banjo Brothers and Bob lately, either.

Victor and Albert's, ESPN club on the boardwalk, Takumi-Tei, Pick a Pearl locations. Also, not all restaurants are open every night.

Cheapek: In order to improve customer experience, we are permanently discontinuing and not bothering to replace the following attractions.
What are you talking about? Spirit of Aloha was not an attraction, it was a paid dinner show. Discontinuing a PAID product is not being cheap.

I think a big thing is the limitations of current “meet and greets”. A lot of families that would otherwise wait in line for that character hug, autograph or priceless photo are skipping it. So though technically “open” it’s not as before times.

Not cheap in money, but can cheapen the experience. Entertainment/dinner shows add value to resorts even if you are “paying” extra for it. It was one of the extras that offered more value to a stay at the Poly or monorail resorts. Just the same as Hoopdee doo

Does anyone know the status of Merida's meet and greet at the MK? Assuming it's closed, was it due to the pandemic?
Cinderella's Royal Table is still NOT offering the same experience as pre-pandemic, correct?
And Gaston and his winning personality are not currently interacting with guests near his statue, correct?
Just FYI, I confirmed (a few days ago) that Chip 'n Dale are not appearing at Fort Wilderness for the campfires. That probably belongs on the resort board but I thought I'd throw it in here since I'm trying to keep a list of everything (parks, resorts, restaurants) that's not currently available. Just because I've noticed Disney's website isn't very clear/specific on that count.

I was wondering about pick a pearl. It was one of my daughter’s favorite things last time. I hope it returns before our summer trip. Does anyone know how I can monitor it?
