What's something you didn't know you wanted until you got it?

Nothing. Anything I have that I want is something I wanted before I got it. There's things that are nice to have, but still not something I want. There are things I didn't have that I like and wouldn't want without, but they are things I knew about and knew it would be nice to have. There are things I have now because I have to have them as I want the other things and didn't have a choice but to have them.

Heated steering wheel, nice to have, not something I particularly want.

Heated seats, love heated seats, always want heated seats, hate the design of the seats that are heated. Hate the 8 way adjustable seat that adjust in every way but the way to make it comfortable. Hate leather seats, but that's the only way you can get heated seats.

Don't have anything I can think of so can just read through other replies. Don't even care to have a cell phone. It's just a phone I don't have to use only in my own home. Don't care about TV, in fact I don't even use streaming as a cable replacement, I don't watch Hollywood TV. I know I would never use a hot tub. I wish I had room for a freezer and they didn't triple in price so I could get one. Always had one before, so it's not something I didn't think I wanted until I got one.

This part isn't true. My buddy has cloth seats with heat. It can be done.

That's interesting. I have never seen that. Always available with leather. I'd be curious to know what car it was. Was it a normal car or something weird and unusual?

It's a Hyundai Tuscon I believe. Relatively recent, but he's had it for a few years now.

This one is easy- Two Christmas's ago my daughter gave me an oculous quest- it is a VR headset. I never tried one and never wanted one but now I had one. At the same time my mom got sick and I was spending all my time at work and the rehab center- I work alone and at the rehab my mom had dementia so there was really no talking there- so then I went home, again alone no one to talk to. I found games on the oculous where you play with other people and talk to them etc- well it is over a year later and I still am on there with the same people and we are all meeting up in June- all people aged 45-60ish and we have a blast on there.

have you given 'supernatural' a try? dh is addicted to it-has never been into sports or exercise but like most of the people on it he gave it a try, loves it/loves the support of the community within it.

I haven't tried that yet- I was spending a lot of time on altspace but now that it is closing in March I am on VR Chat all the time. I love Wander, Reel VR Fishing and Walkabout mini golf.

I have heated seats with cloth in a 2021 Honda CRV. They would be my answer to this question as well- I love them.

I know for sure that both Hyundai and Subaru offer heated seats with cloth; I've had them in both makes, and they are now a requirement for me; won't buy a car without them. (I walked away from a car I really liked last time around, a Mazda, because it was only available in black leather seating. The salesman thought I was insane, offered me all kinds of cash for seat covers -- which I was not convinced would have worked properly with the airbags. He just could not get it; "Why? Leather seats look so great and they are so easy-care!" I told him to go talk to a female sales rep if he could find one, and he'd get his answer.

Every woman I know who lives in a hot summer climate HATES leather seats, and that goes double for black ones. You can give yourself a second-degree burn if wearing a dress.

I am a cat person first and a dog person second but we have not had a pet since 2007. A few years ago my husband went outside to turn the bbq on and discovered a cockatiel just sitting on the railing. Now, this was in May and we live in Canada so not ideal for an Australian parrot to hang out in so he brought her inside. We looked for her owners but no one claimed her and within 24 hours we had decided to keep her. She now spends all day hanging out with me in my home office and I can't imagine life without her!
