I was wondering that too. Probably something along the lines of she was offered a recording contract and left So Random or they will pretend she was never in the show at all.

Maybe she's offered her own show or something... But Disney wouldn't do that. If that was a plot, it would end with Sonny declining the offer because she sees her friends are more important, or something like that.
