What's more American than Disney?!We Brave the 4th of July! TR LINK pg. 55!!!!!!!

Oooh both Earl of Sand. and WPE are good. If you're in the mood for sandwiches, go with Earl. They are out of this world! :)

Looks wonderful Nikki! I'm jealous just reading through it ;)

After Paradiso 37.. have you thought about going to Raglan Road for the evening? DF and I went there in 2006 (after AC! :guilty:) & 2008 and it was a fun place to be... usually there is a live band & Irish dancers.. we sat up at the bar & got chatting with the bar-staff :goodvibes

Emma princess: xx

Raglan Road is a Favorite of mine !!! I love the food and the desserts are awesome !!!!

Check it out, I'm commenting on a TR the same decade it was written! :D

SO COOL about the Wishes fireworks cruise!!

Not sure if this helps with your ADRs, but T-Rex only does reservations for about 25% of their tables, they reserve the rest for walk-ups.

Or just pack up and move to FL! One of us, one of us!!! ;)

I figured that was the case about T-Rex b/c that was the hardest place to get an ADR for! Hahah, I believe me, I would LOVE to move to Florida!

Good to know! :thumbsup2

My GF and I are being brave also and decided to go for the 4th of July this year. Should be interesting.

We will be there from Jun 29-Jul 3. Looks like from the itenary posted above we will only be at the same parks on the Friday, but even then we are planning on doing the evening at the MK and possibly EC in the morning. depending on how the GAD fast pass stuff works we might be over at the MK in the morning to cash those in.

Our Itenary is:

June 29: DHS (landing around 10) using GAD FP #1
June 30: MK day - evening at EC using GAD FP #2 at the MK
July 1 : AK day - Evening at EC
July 2: Possibly EC in the morning, MK Evening using GAD FP #3 at the MK
July 3: Leave dodge... maybe an early morning RD at DHS if we are up for it.

Yes it should be....we can do it!

I see you are from NJ. Where are you flying out of? We might be on the same flight!

It's so fun to see if anyone will be in the same place at the same time! Plans change so often, who know, though! We just might run into each other!

Why that lovely airport in Newark NJ. LOL We're on the Continental flight that leaves at 7:45am.

We are on the Cont. 6:15am!! Idiots. We are going to be shot the whole week.

Are you leaving on the 1st too?

Tip: DON'T get a muffin at Juan Valdez. You'd think they'd be fresh that early in the morning, but I"m telling you...they are not.

Hi Nikki!

I've been doing some (more) December vacation planning this evening & just wanted to let you know we've booked our New York to Orlando flight from 'your' airport!!

11.30am Newark to MCO on Continental :goodvibes

It was only £83 (about $120?) each which seemed too good to miss!

Also booked Magical Express - so I'm full of Disney excitement right now :woohoo: (DF is sort of excited but he is too interested in his soccer game that's on at the mo!)

Oh Emma, I was just thinking of you! Yes Continental flights out of Newark are not bad at all! We usually pay around $450 total for the two of us round trip!! I'm glad I booked this trip early, though, because prices have skyrocketed, I guess because it's a holiday weekend.

FYI, not sure how you plan on getting to the airport from your hotel in the city BUT there is a stop on NJ transit at Newark Airport so you could very easily take a train from Penn Station directly to the airport. It'll be way cheaper than a cab. Let me know if you're interested in doing that and would like more specifics.

ALSO, I just got an e-mail about Mary Poppins on Broadway and I totally thought of you! Were you guys planning on seeing a Broadway show at all? I know Poppins started in London so it's possible you saw it. They even brought the "Bert" from West End to open Poppins on Broadway and he was AMAZING! We saw it opening weekend. I get discounts on some stuff like that with my job so if you are looking at doing something like that, let me know and I'll see what if I can help at all (or join you ;)).

Hah,

We are leaving from Newark on the 6:05 Continental Flight as well (2 days before you leave). Even though we live fairly close to newark (about 20 mins west) we are staying the night before at the Wyndham hotel near the newark airport. They have a rate where you can stay over for like $130 and leave your car in their lot for up to 14 days plus a free shuttle to and from your terminal. Since we are going for 11 days this works really well for us, plus any extra time saved at that time in the day is welcome in my book. Trains don't run that early, and the schlep over to the terminal from long term is not exactly sounding all that appealing at that hour of the day.

Oh funny! Hmm...20 mins west of newark airport? We are about 15 mins west...where are you?! Sounds like a good plan though! We started out using a car service but on our last trip we used a taxi. So much cheaper and just as good! :thumbsup2

Thank you for the train/airport info! Train might be good.. we'll have two 50lb suitcases with us too though so I wasn't sure how that would be on the trains!? lol
I've told DF that departing from Newark now means he'll get to 'visit' another US state during our trip! ;)

We might try see a Broadway show while we're there.. not planned that out just yet lol.. I did see Mary Poppins in the West End about 3 years ago, it was amazing though and I'd love to see it again!
I really wish Little Mermaid was still on Broadway but I believe that left on tour recently? it'll get to London one day lol.

I try as much as NOT to eat at the airport. LOL I usually hit up Dunkin Donuts for an iced coffee, that's about it.

Yea we are leaving on the first too.

We usually don't eat at the airport either but last July it was the morning after our wedding, I finally felt like I was hungry (haha STRESS) and the muffins just LOOKED delicious....maybe I'll see you at the airport!

North Plainfield. Taxi is not an option for us with the toddler so this works out well. Train would also be an option if we weren't leaving at the crack of dawn :scared1:

Oh funny! I teach in Scotch Plains and have a good friend from work who lives in North Plainfield! Do you have any other kids? She has a 1st grader and pres-schooler.
