What's it really like in June?

I responded earlier but just wanted to add one thing....I think going during the summer months depends on your ability to handle heat and humidity. I didn't think it would be an issue for me but I quickly learned that I have no tolerance for either....I really do turn into a beast when I am uncomfortable, hot and sweaty. For some, the heat and humidity is no problem, therefore, June is a fine time to go. The other issue I have with the summer months is the level pf planning it takes to visit WDW during that time. Due to the crowds and heat, you really have to think about your plans much more carefully, do Fast Passes etc. DH and I much prefer a laid back do whatever we feel like kind of trip, hence going during cooler, less crowded months is perfect for us. January was probably our favorite month weatherwise.

My wife and I went twice in June and had a great time! It was hot, but we didn't take any breaks at all! We drank lots of water and had no problem at all!

We typically travel in mid June. The heat is awful and the crowds seem to get worse every year. Also mid June is Star Wars Weekends in MGM, so MGM is a madhouse.

We are limited to the summer months because of school and work (I'm an accountant so Jan - April is out). Summer Disney is better than no Disney at all.

Make sure you have a good plan, find out which parks are less busy on what days. Avoid staying at a morning EMH park after EMH. Or avoid morning EMH all together. Arrive at the parks EARLY! Know what attractions you must see and others that you want to see. Study park maps before arrival, so you don't spend most of your day, figuring out where something is. Buy a couple of guide books and read them cover to cover, Passporter and the Unofficial Guide are really good.

You can experience everything you want to in summer, it just takes more work. Make sure to take mid day breaks and keep hydrated.
