I'll be staying in a studio at BCV from 4/20 - 4/25 with my dd who is 7, and I have a few last minute questions:

I know that the studios only have paper plates and plasticware, but should I bring an extra set just in case?

Which character breakfast is better - Chef Mickey's, or the one that is at BCV (I think it's Beaches and Cream??)

How long will it take to get to MK and AK from BCV by Disney bus? We're planning on going there on the early park opening days.

Any suggestions on what to do onsite when you don't feel like going to the parks??

All input will be greatly appreciated!

I'll answer what I can...

2. I like the character breakfast at the BC better than Chef Mickeys. It's located at the Cape May Cafe and it's wonderful. Also, since you're going during the week after Easter, I'd call for a PS. You might not even be able to get Chef Mickey's at this late date anyway.

3. I'd plan on 30 minutes between waiting for the bus to come and actual travel time. It might be shorter if the bus comes quickly, but 30 minutes probably would be around the middle time.

4. You'll be at one of the best resort pools on property, sit down swim and just relax there!!!!

The character breakfast at the Beach Club, Cape May Cafe is great! I would just go there.

I agree that 30 minutes would be a good estimate for AK.

A fun thing to do at the resort is either rent the water mice or rent a surrey bike. Oh, and there is swimming at SAB.

when you check in you get a resort map - look on the back for the current activities list - if your daughter sees any that interest her - plan around that. if you don't get one - ask the person who is checking you in for it - sometimes they run out and forget to get more.

My DD and I stayed in a BCV studio for a week last August. We ate breakfast in the room almost every day. I brought a couple of sturdy plastic plates in our luggage, they provide paper ones in the room. There's some dishwashing liquid, so I was able to quickly wash them (along with the provided plastic cutlery and the real glasses) each day. I also brought a microwave egg poacher, and we microwaved some bacon (saved a newspaper for this, they provide paper towels). This worked OK, I'm looking for a better poacher! We like protein the mornings, but if you're a cereal person, bring plastic bowls. For the two of us, this was pretty easy to do. They have a full size coffee maker too, so I made coffee most days. We'll see how it works when Dad stays with us in the studio in June for 6 days. We usually get a 1 BR when he's along, but we're saving points for a cruise next year.

On that stay, we spent an evening playing miniature golf at the place across from the Swan/Dolphin. It was really fun! The first time we stayed at BC, my DD had just turned 8. She thought the best part of the trip was going to SAB every day! So you might plan on that!
