What's in the easter baskets?

DD2 got a small easter basket filled with candy (which a family friend made her) sleeping bag from the disney store (paid $5 for it - yea for sales) and 2 books.

SOunds like everyone is getting a nice little basket this year!

Happy Easter everyone. Lets see those happy kids and their goodies.

:earsboy: My ds got to much in his basket this year! I always go overboard on it LOL He got a t-shirt & shorts. a pair of blue croclings, the Bee moive, 4 new cars from the movie "cars", a little puppy dog, a hot wheels trick track, a hop scotch slip and side, a choc bunny, a power ranger watch, some things for the bath tub.

In past years, we've gotten way too much candy for the kids, and had easter egg hunts for eggs that never get eaten. We decided to do something different this year. Each of the three kids got 1 package of peanut butter cups (they all love them) and we bought 15 Disney dollars for each child. We then attached the Disney dollars to the bushes, trees, and what every else we could with dollar store plastic clothes pins, and hid two of the peanut butter cups in the shrubs, and the third we left hanging out of the down spout for the gutter (the little guy is only 4, so we had to keep it low for him). We told the kids that the Easter bunny left them each one candy, and that the Easter Tigger visited from Disney World, and left them each 15 things to search for. They had a great time finding the Disney dollars, and their peanut butter cups, they didn't wind up with a ton of candy that none of them really needs, we don't have a couple dozen hard boiled eggs that we're going to wind up throwing away in two weeks, and the kids each have 15 dollars to spend when we go on vacation to the world in August. I think this was probably the best Easter we've had in a long time.

I guess I'm a bad parent, I completely forgot about Easter baskets! :rotfl:

Oh well, we're doing an egg hunt at a relatives house this afternoon.

I am not a big fan of lots of candy...
DD5 got snake webkinz, tshirts for Disney, big plastic duck (she asked for it LOL), and lots of littlest pet shop stuff.
DD10 got 5 new hoodies, tshirts for Disney, and a new pc game.

My son made out like a bandit, IMO, but he certainly didn't get a laptop. He did however get a mouse for the family laptop (he spilled bubble solution on it and the left mouse button didn't work -- you can do a lot without that left button, but game playing is hard), a bunch of plastic eggs, one of which had a $10 bill and the rest of which held jelly beans, a chocolate bunny and some new easter grass for his old basket.

Oh, and Grandma took us out for a nice brunch, so he got lamb chops and sushi (his favorites).

See I like to give gifts (though small) instead of so much junk food. This year since we are going to Disney in a week DD6 got:

Princess Lanyard
6 Disney Pins
Tiara
Disney Dollars
Disney Light Up Spinner
Disney Coloring Book

And no the bunny does NOT take requests. I read an article the other day how parents spend more and more on their children (Mostly for stuff, IPods, ect...) and do not save at all for college. If the Easter Bunny is giving out Laptops I can totally say the world has gone spending crazy.

DS got a Jonas Brothers concert t-shirt (I had a friend buy it for him at the concert), Scooby Doo DVD (free from Motts applesauce) & some shower gel (bought it to get some free hand lotion w/ B&BW coupon). Also, some candy
DD got 3 pairs of socks with hearts (clearance GAP), Pink Twinkle body glitter (clearance Club Libby Lu), Hannah Montana Karaoke CD (free from Club Libby Lu), mini-My Little Pony figures (on clearance after Christmas) and a blue necklace with hearts & a cross (clearance at a local Christian store) And, some candy.

Not a ton but not a little bit either.

Looks like everyone did pretty well! My kids were very happy, too. I'm now just wondering if that little girl I mentioned got her laptop- I'll have to ask her next week when we get back after spring break! If she did, maybe her parents will adopt me?!? :lmao: :rotfl2:

I think it's so funny that most of our kids got disney stuff! :rotfl: Are we predicable or what?

Happy Easter everyone!
