In past years, we've gotten way too much candy for the kids, and had easter egg hunts for eggs that never get eaten. We decided to do something different this year. Each of the three kids got 1 package of peanut butter cups (they all love them) and we bought 15 Disney dollars for each child. We then attached the Disney dollars to the bushes, trees, and what every else we could with dollar store plastic clothes pins, and hid two of the peanut butter cups in the shrubs, and the third we left hanging out of the down spout for the gutter (the little guy is only 4, so we had to keep it low for him). We told the kids that the Easter bunny left them each one candy, and that the Easter Tigger visited from Disney World, and left them each 15 things to search for. They had a great time finding the Disney dollars, and their peanut butter cups, they didn't wind up with a ton of candy that none of them really needs, we don't have a couple dozen hard boiled eggs that we're going to wind up throwing away in two weeks, and the kids each have 15 dollars to spend when we go on vacation to the world in August. I think this was probably the best Easter we've had in a long time.
