What's in a title anyway? How about 1300 pictures? 4/15/11-> Bonus Section pt1 & 2

Awesome updates! Reminded me of some of the things I need to explore at HS. Definitely need to spend time in One Man's Dream. I've never actually made it on Rock 'n Roller (hopefully next trip) and it has been ages since we've seen the Muppets.

Great update! One Mans Dream is on the must do list for my Sept trip!

I am dying to see Beauty and the Beast but for some reason I never do. Last trip we lined up then they canceled the show then we wanted to go after our rest but the bus didn't make it back in time.

Now you made me wanna play the Wii. Can I play Wii Bowling while the kids are at school????:lmao:
Well, that sounds like a couple of good reasons to start booking your next trip! The discounts for the summer and fall are out......just saying :rotfl:

As for the Wii.....do whatcha want, that's my sleep time! :lmao:

Awesome update Rob!!! I totally had to lie to Devon and tell him RnR didn't go upside down either the 1st time he was tall enough to ride!!! :rotfl2: Parenting at it's finest right there! :rotfl:

Now it's his favorite ride!

They'll still turn out right, won't they? :lmao: I kind of felt bad and kind of felt like laughing when he asked me about it while walking through the queue. It's for their own good right :confused3:laughing: I'm kind of afraid to look back into my childhood to see how many times my parents did it is us.....think it might open up some doors I've tried to keep shut? :scared1:

Just as I was about to click the unsubscribe button...

JK! love youre updates! Esp. the pics! favorite part by far!

One Man's Dream was honestly amazing. Loved going with my mom and sister and we watched the movie! It was really late for me though and since I literally turn into a child at WDW, I fell asleep near the end :/

I WILL NEVER RIDE TOT AGAINNNN!! Its awful and to prove it, I bought the picture of me and my friend to commemorate my last time/first time on!

Still haven't done RnRC but thinking about doing it next week when i go...I'm terrified though!!

Beauty and the Beast show is great! Thinking bout skipping it next trip though...more of a family show and my priority is Fantasmic! We shall see though!

thanks for the update! was beginning to feel left out haha
You wouldn't leave us would you? :scared1: What if there was another update almost ready? ;)

You gotta try RnRC!!! Especially if you've ever liked any Aerosmith music ever! SOOO Cool! I can't wait to get back just to hop on that one more time. As for ToT, smart move. Nothing good ever game from that ride!

Between F! and BnB....no comparison, F! wins hands down in a head to head! Smart move if you have to pick!

1 more week?!?!? :woohoo: AWESOME!!!!!! We still have 7 more till out next trip and it can't come soon enough! Have a blast!!!!:thumbsup2

Loved all the new photos!

I feel so bad because we did go into One Man's Dream and my 23 yrd old daughter was really enjoying reading etc... and we did rush her out!
Later when anyone had a question about Disney, she knew the answers from what she just read and kept telling us that if we had spent more time in there, that we would have known a lot more about Disney!:confused3

Guess we just have to go back!

We also would have like to have done Muppets 3D. That was one of the shows I'm sorry we missed. That and the backlot tour. But we did do Beauty and the Beast and loved that!!

Oh, and by accident, I rode Rockn roller Coaster!! :rotfl2:
I wouldn't do that again! I don't like to go upside down and didn't realize it went upside down! All I did was focus on the back of the seat in front of me and kept my eyes open! I read somewhere, that the worst thing you can do is close your eyes! So my photo was pretty funny with my eyes bulging open and just staring! :lmao:
When we got off the ride, the kids pointed out the limo that was upside down on the track and told me that should have given it away for me!! :rotfl2:
At least I can say I did it!! and survived! :thumbsup2

Debbie

I never thought about the coaster outside being upside down :rotfl: You should try it again but this time watch what's going on! I love that ride! As for the other stuff, I'm thinking it's time you hoped back online and booked another trip. I've been following your TR and you need to get back there when it's warm! Also, we have a luggage experience like yours.....but ours happens on the LAST day of the trip, not the first!

Come on troops - don't pay attention to this lame excuse of an update! REVOLT! REVOLT! REVOLT!

JUUUUUUST KIDDDDDING Rob, climb down from the ledge!

Great update! I haven't done RnR, and now that I have seen your hairline and know that it goes upside down, I may never get on... maybe some day...

I need to get into OMD - do you know if it is stroller friendly? Might be a good place for a napping girl!

Now give us more!

Fantastic update, so glad the boys got to go on RnR in the end. Such an awesome ride and I love love love the photo of you and Nate bless him.

You're just like DF in hating ToT, but I loved it and can't wait to go back on. Which is weird as I hate any vertical type ride, I'm more of a coaster girl.

More updates please popcorn::

Oh you're too kind! Might have another update around here somewhere....:rolleyes1

Just gotta dot the I's and cross the T's but should be up this afternoon I hope:)

Ooh La La! :cool1:

What's this, an update...I was starting to wonder if you'd return.

I'd love to see One Man's Dream but I'm pretty sure I'd be outvoted by the rest of my group. I'll get to it someday I suppose.

NO NO NO!!! This trip report is to get people to try new things (except tower of terror) not to get people to avoid them! Just for that, you're getting on. Done. Period. End of Discussion. Next trip you will ride RnR! Get your hubby on the phone, he needs to verify it.

As for One Man's Dream. I think they make you leave the strollers outside. So far, good nap spots I've seen were either the places with movies inside the World Showcase and Hall of Presidents. I'm sure there's got to be at least one spot in each park....I'm thinking of making that a new thread somewhere else :thumbsup2

ToT is evil.
I used to work somewhere where the elevator would do exactly the same thing as ToT but it wasn't a ride. I HATE HATE HATE it, BUT, I'm going after that shot I want from the top so I will be going on again soon!

As for the updates.....you first!:rotfl2:

j/k. Today for sure I'll have one up.

Ooh La La! :cool1:

Definitely something a Jersey Girl would say...but I would have expected a "green head" or mosquito" in there somewhere

great.... now I'm itchy!:rotfl2:

I'd love to see One Man's Dream but I'm pretty sure I'd be outvoted by the rest of my group. I'll get to it someday I suppose.

I'm having second thoughts now with all the love I'm getting :sad1:

Just kidding  I'm finishing this thing if it kills me!

Try getting the group to go in on a hot day when you've been walking for hours already. Let them know that there are comfortable seats and air conditioning in the back, than BAM, you're watching the movie and they are resting their feet.....everybody's happy :thumbsup2

I really do have an update just about finished already. I spent every spare minute I had yesterday working on it :thumbsup2

This morning I had to work late so my 3 hrs of sleep before the kids get up was cut even shorter. If I get my honey-do list done early I'll post another one before work. If not, it will be asap. :thumbsup2

Till then, I'm leaving this guy in charge

I have no doubt they will turn out absolutely FINE!!!

Catching up! Back home from a quick vacation to see family. :cloud9:

Love your photos. I must say ToT is one of my fave rides especially at night when the park is so pretty for that split second you can see it from up so high. :thumbsup2

Quick thinking on the shoe change! :goodvibes When my sister first rode RnRC she did not believe me that it went upside down. :confused3

Muppets 3D is always fun. :3dglasses My family loves the muppets. I'm so glad to hear the buzz on a new muppets movie.

If you enjoy OMD I think you should check out Walt and El Grupo. Its a movie/documentary about how during war times the government quietly spent a ton of money to send Walt and a large group of his team to South America for 10 weeks. Its really interesting if you have not seen it. popcorn::

Love, love your report! Glad you haven't given up on us! :wizard: :surfweb: :cheer2:

Rob- Welcome back!! We missed you. Great update! Great Pics!
I never knew about the key under the mat at Muppets, so excited, my family loves the little stuff like that. (And that is just the type of thing I can use to show my DH that my time spent of the Dis is not wasted- I find out all kinds of cool, undiscovered things).
Another thing at DHS if you haven't tried it yet, at The Magic of Disney Animation (next to OMD) which is cool unto itself, there is a drawing class you can take with a Disney Animator. They do different characters all day long. Last trip we did it 3 times and my boys loved it. (Also makes a cool, FREE keepsake).
I ALSO HATE TOT!!! Awful, Awful ride. I wasn't sure if I was going to throw up or pass out!
Thanks for calming the crew with your update. We don't really mind if you drag it out. If you keep it up, you'll finish just as your other trip comes and then we'll get to start over and continue to see your great pics and great family!

Forgot one thing. Also at Magic of Disney Animation, there are characters throughout the day and there doesn't ever seem to be much of a line. We saw Sorcerer Mickey and the Incredibles. (I just never knew they were there and I love my character pics, just thought I'd share)

Day 7 Continued……

So we left the Rock’n Rollercoaster and headed up Sunset Blvd to meet Mommom Ginny, Austin and Logan over at Rosie’s All American. Austin was Just wrapping up with a bowl full of Ice Cream

DSC_2295.jpg

And we all grabbed a quick snack before moving on. As with every trip I devoured a turkey leg as vegetarians in the area looked on in horror. Sorry, no pics of that either. Last time I put a picture up on facebook with ½ of a turkey leg hanging from my mouth to the bone, I was told I turned quite a few stomachs :lmao:

After washing the grease from my hands and face, we headed down to Hollywood Blvd and ran into a parade going by. We joined the crowds for a few……

DSC_2296.jpg

DSC_2297.jpg

And saw this guy discretely tossing balls at young children
DSC_2300.jpg

See him up there hiding?
DSC_2303.jpg

I wander if there is a creative name for his job description? How do you put that on you resume for your next job. “I throw balls at kids in parades” probably isn’t what perspective employers are looking for. :confused3 Oh well, that’s not my problem.

Logan started getting a little rammy during the parade so I took him by the hand over to the candy store to blow a few snack credits. He picked out Cotton Candy for himself, Kyle, and Nate and I grabbed one of these….

DSC_2305.jpg

That turkey leg from earlier had given me such a sweet tooth that I actually ordered 3 marshmallows dipped in white chocolate, sprinkled in sugar and cinnamon. Now I’m 32, what in the heck was I thinking? Maybe when I was younger I would have finished it but after a few bites in my sweet tooth was more than satisfied!

We decided to head back to the Beach Club for some R&R down at the pool. Kyle would be joining us for a bit till dinner time because he had dinner reservations with his mom over at the C&D Harvest Festival. He had hung out at Storm Along Bay with us before and was looking forward to it.

The weather was so nice that Tina and I decided to make the walk back while my mom wanted to relax on the ferry so she went with Brandon and Tracy to go wait for the boats.

On our trail back with the 3 amigos….

DSC_2308.jpg

Just as we were passing the Swan and Dolphin, Brandon called my cell and was asking me to grab a picture of them sitting on the back on the ferry. As much as I wasted to go rest my feet for a few, I obliged and hung out on the bridge for a bit waiting for them to sail by.

With a few minutes to spare, I caught a few of the Beach Club just about to enter into the golden hrs of the day…..

And finally they came around…

So here I am walking alone down towards the Yacht Club by myself. Tina had gone on with the boys and I didn’t know that se was feeling bad for missing a photo op I probably would have liked. My feet were dragging just a little but just enough to really relax and smell the flowers. Not paying too much attention to anything else besides being in my own little perfect (Disney) world, I looked up and that photo op Tina thought I missed almost ran me over……

Never in a million years did I think I would just stumble across that! In that last picture there was a guy in brown pants and a kaki shirt that at that very moment, I was SO jealous of. His job right then was to walk with the carriage and take pictures with equipment the looked to be more valuable than my SUV. If I ever found out I had a fairy godmother, that’s what I’d be asking for! *Sigh* Maybe in another life…

Moving right along.

I met up with my Mom, Brandon, Tracy, and Austin over by the lighthouse as they got off of the ferry and followed them back to the hotel taking pictures along the way…..

DSC_2383.jpg

DSC_2386.jpg

These guys were making excellent time here in the lobby….

DSC_2397.jpg

And pretty soon the gingerbread would be ready for sale…
DSC_2399.jpg

After that it was Chill Time. We all threw on our bathing suits and headed out to the pool for a bit but without a waterproof camera, I have nothing to show you for now. Next trip I’m hoping to have one but we’ll have to see how our cards fall between now and then. I have my eye on a decent one and Tina is cool with that, but we’ll see!

So, after hanging out down at Storm Along Bay for a bit, we returned Kyle back to his mommy and headed out to grab a bus back over to Magic Kingdom for dinner. By now it’s just after 6pm and it’s DARK out! I was missing the summer already, but not at the moment I saw this….
DSC_2414.jpg

Everything’s always OK when you see that isn’t it? We reached Magic Kingdom at 6:20 and tonight they were closing at 7pm for the MVMCP. At first, we weren’t going to head in but the girls wanted to do a little shopping over at the Emporium so we ran in for ½ hour real quick.

It’s funny how even something simple like the Christmas lights on Main Street look so festive when you put a big lit up castle in the background :rotfl:
DSC_2468.jpg

And off we went
DSC_2472.jpg

DSC_2476.jpg

I know what you’re thinking….Why go all the way there for diner when we didn’t even go past the Emporium let alone EAT anything. Well, we weren’t there yet! Next mode of transportation…..
DSC_2481.jpg

DSC_2482.jpg

DSC_2485.jpg

Yep, here we go again, back on the monorail. If you remember a few years ago when I did the last update for day 5, we had gone to the Poly for diner at Ohana’s. Well, everybody liked it so much I figured what the heck! During the week we had cancelled one diner because we were full from lunch so that morning I hopped up on the internet and was able to get a same day reservation! Am I good or what?!?!?

I grabbed a few shots from the monorail. Again, I’ll pat myself on the back for getting a few keepers while shooting handheld, in the dark, standing, while holding a stroller, on a moving monorail :rotfl2:
DSC_2489.jpg

DSC_2493.jpg

DSC_2500.jpg

We arrived a few minutes late but were seated right away. I had a plan and didn’t mind being a few minutes late, what I did NOT want was to be there early.

Oh yea, I’m good.

Trust me.

I’m also lucky, and that’s better than being good sometimes. Not only were we able to get reservations that morning, when we got there we were given the BEST table in the whole place. We were right up against the window in the corner. EVERYTHING was coming up Rob tonight!
This was our view….
DSC_2524.jpg

Yea, it gets better…give me a minute.

So by now, it’s 7:30 and Austin was feeling a little cranky and who could blame him. It’s a long day for a 2 year old.

We tried to point out our amazing chef’s
DSC_2510.jpg

We pointed back to the castle
DSC_2515.jpg

He just wasn’t having it. When our cousin of the night came over to ask us if there was anything he could get us, Tracy jokingly said a babysitter…..
Ask and ye shall receive! He took Austin up to see the fire and gave us a few minutes to enjoy a few drinks.
DSC_2534.jpg

Apparently someone mentioned that yesterday was my birthday because out came a cupcake and I was given Mickey ears Ohana style…..
DSC_2535.jpg

Logan wanted Mickey ears too…
DSC_2538.jpg

So cute.

.

A few minutes later the Electric Parade started out on the water and we had the best seats for it! Yep, my plan was coming together better than I had imagined!

DSC_2541.jpg

DSC_2544.jpg

DSC_2555.jpg

As soon as that was over it was time for a limbo contest for the kids. Austin wasn’t quite awake enough to be doing this on his own so Brandon took him up and joined in on the fun.
DSC_2562.jpg

DSC_2561.jpg

Now please keep in mind that Mommom Ginny is NOT a drinker by any stretch of the imagination. I however, have been known to enjoy a few on occasion. So what I did was side a few over in front of her when her back was turned to make it look like she was a bit of a lush tonight. The soda is hers, the drinks are mine. The face she made when I took the picture just screams the opposite :lmao:
DSC_2568.jpg

Ten minutes later I was starting to worried that we were wearing out our welcome. Granted our bar tab was making our cousins tip look better and better, but I was worried that someone would need our table soon. Our cousin insisted that there was no one waiting and that we could stay as long as we liked to which I ordered another round! :laughing:Just then, then plan I had set up in the back of my mind came to a head. The lights dimmed, the Christmas music was piped in and Wishes began. This was one of those times where everything in the world was perfect. Please bare with me for the next few pictures, we had a pretty large bar tab! I wasn’t expecting to be get any decent shots at all, but I knew I would be doing a trip report so I had to try….just for you guys!

I’m telling you, the table tat we had all the way in the corner with windows on 2 sides of us made the show 10x better than I had pictured it. Yea, I’ll take luck any day.

So we settled up our tab and stumbled our way out towards the monorail,,,
DSC_2616.jpg

With one last look back at the Poly….
DSC_2624.jpg

…and headed back to the Magic Kingdom.
