What's happened to 2017 dining plan?

Really confused. I've been looking at which restaurants needed a table service credit (or 2) on the 2017 dining plan. A couple of weeks ago there were plenty of restaurants to choose from. I looked on the website last night and they are nearly all showing N/A and showing as being eligible for the deluxe plan.

Hoping it's a glitch on the site I've just looked again. I checked Boatwrights and BOG (knowing the dinner at those featured in the Disney Dining Plan in the past) again today and they still show as N/A.

Anyone know if this is just while they update something on their system or can you no longer use the DDP nearly anywhere?

Looks like you are in the UK so you might want to ask this question on the UK trip planning board because FD packages for 2017 have already been released in the UK.

As far as eligible Table Service restaurants, what website were you looking at? If anything has already been posted for next year it would be incomplete because it would only include Disney owned restaurants at best. The third party restaurants have until the end of December to sign their contracts so you won't see a complete list for 2017 until next January. To get a general idea of which restaurants will be included you can look at this year's list because over the years there has been only one restaurant that dropped out.

Restaurants renew their dining plan contracts annually. Expect many of the restaurants to be "missing" until the end of December.

I'm looking at MDE so don't think the fact that I'm in th UK should make any difference. I'm not talking about free dining specifically, but the dining plan in general whether paid for or not.

A couple of weeks ago as I said, BOG, Boatwrights at POR and a lot of world showcase restaurants were a dining credit with the DDP. Disneys own website, when you look at All Dining and work down the list of restaurants, when you click on a venue to see which plans are eligible now shows hardly anything available for DDP but still there if you go for the deluxe DDP.

Can understand about them renewing contracts annually, but as they were showing up a few days ago just wondered if anyone else had noticed.

I'm assuming BOG and Boatwrights at POR are Disney owned?

If you saw a list of 2017 restaurants that would have been a glitch.

If you're looking at the 2016 dining plans and seeing "N/A" that would be a glitch as well because all the eligible dining plans for each TS are showing for me.

BOG and Boatwrights are Disney owned, but quite a few of the World Showcase Table Service restaurants are third party venues (all the TS restaurants in Mexico, China, Italy, Japan, Morocco and France).

So maybe a glitch but being able to see them in the first place was the glitch. Is it different for the Deluxe plan then, that is still visible for 2017?

No it's not different. DDP and DxDDP can be used at the same restaurants and "cost" the same amount of credits. The only difference is, with the DxDDP you get an appetizer/started with your meal.

Please don't worry about restaurants not being on the plan. The only ones we really don't know about are the newer ones that are opening this year, but if they all use the plan this year, they will probably use it next year. The same goes for the existing restaurants. If they're on the plan this year, then they probably will be next year. The only one that has ever dropped out is Fulton's, and they came back.
