I had a bout with either a stomach virus or food poisoning yesterday. I'll spare you the details...

Anyway, I am feeling better today and have been able to hold down a couple of glasses of Canada Dry. I sort of want to eat something but I don't know what is gentle on the tummy.

Any suggestions? (and don't say crackers...I had a very bad experience yesterday with crackers and can't look at them.)

At the urgent care we always recommended the BRAT diet: Bananas, rice, applesauce and/or toast for the first days after gastroenteritis.

My comfort food is always noodles with a little bit of butter and salt.

Hope you feel better soon!

Sorry to hear your under the weather! How about some mashed potatoes or white rice. Try anything bland like dry toast. Hope your feeling better soon!

Hope you feel better soon!!!!:)

What about some Chicken noodle soup? I was going to suggest crackers - but nevermind.;)
Maybe a plain baked potato?

bland chicken noodle soup is all I can keep down on an upset tummy. The kind that comes in a box (Mrs. Grass is one brand) works for me.

Chicken broth and white rice is a good start.

If the rice and broth stay put, then I move the kids on to scrambled eggs made with butter, the butter seems to be soothing to an upset stomach.

Hope you are feeling better soon

Mine is buttered white rice with a little salt. Always makes me feel a little better. And, sometimes I like to eat potato chips -- I guess it's the salt that I want.

Keep it bland and avoid extremes like high fat, spicy, fibrous, etc. Tea and toast is usually a good start.

Glad you are feeling better! We just got over this at my house too.

Try sucking on ice chips or taking small sips of water. You might also try drinking clear soda such as 7UP or Sprite, clear broths, or noncaffeinated sports drinks such as Gatorade. Affected adults should try to drink plenty of liquid every day, taking small, frequent sips.

Ease back into eating. Gradually begin to eat bland, easy-to-digest foods such as soda crackers, toast, gelatin, bananas, rice and chicken. Stop eating if your nausea returns.

Avoid certain foods and substances until you feel better. These include dairy products, caffeine, alcohol, nicotine, and fatty or highly seasoned foods.

:thumbsup2 Mrs Grass Noodle Soup is my standby when I'm sick.

Grab a can of Campbell's Chicken and Rice Soup. I had a very bad day last Thursday and it worked wonders for me once I was finally able to start keeping things down.

I like Gerber applesauce and other fruit baby food. :confused3 Yeah, call me crazy, but that stuff is the easiest thing to digest, and they don't taste half bad.

Plain Cherrios regular flavor, no milk, toast. Small amount if you keep that down after 2 hours then some more.

I crave potato chips when I'm queasy too. Lay's potato chips (the thin kind) work the best.

uh oh I said the bad word lol im sorry I hope its not too late
aunt millies potato bread

When I am sick to my stomach, I eat apples. The natural pectin does wonders for a terrible tummy. I just take little bites until I feel better.
