What is good to eat at Sea World? Fast food, sit down etc. Maybe some suggestions close to Sea World.
And if I were to eat in the park for a sit down meal should I make reservations?
And is there any discounts for food at SW?

hi there

you can do a dine with shamu buffet at SW. need to book for that, have eaten at mango joes ,spice mill and at the hospitality deli all of these were really good. seaworld .com gives you all the info you need to know , but i could recommend any of these choices, food also available at shamu stadium, hot dogs, nachos ice creams etc.

seaworld is a really good easy going park .this is the first park we do when we arrive in USA.

hope thats helpful

You dont have to make ressies for anything but Dine with Shamu and Sharks Grill.....but not months in advanced. Shamu, yeah.
As far as the food, pretty much any kind of food you want they have. Pizza, good bbq, seafood, hamburgers etc. My favorite is the Hospitality House. They have these huge bread bowls full of beef stew.....mmmmmmm......and free beer.

Thanks so much for the ideas. I think the samples of free beer won my husband over. hehe

That beef stew sounds delicious. I was looking at the SW website and I see where once you are in the park in order to sample the beers at the hospitality house, you have to make a reservation. Is this really the case? Or is it on a first come first serve basis? Just need to be prepared.

You don't need to make reservations to get a free beer sample I believe. They are only needed to do the Brewmasters Club (also in the Hospitality Deli building), which is a 30 minute program where they teach you all about how beer is brewed and the ingredients used, followed by a series of of different samples of various types of beers and a guide on what sorts of foods each of them best go with.

The hospitality house opens at 11 a.m. The bars open shortly after that, you get one sample per I.D. and no, there is no reservations for the free samples. There is a brewmaster school that is very good, and yes you do need a ressie for that. Its really awesome because they show you how to do food pairings just like they do with wine, and even give you some food samples as well.
Now they used to have a back bar that gave you some more choices, dont think they have that anymore.

As others have stated, the Hospitality House is excellent and the roast beef sandwich I had was out of this world! :thumbsup2

Thats one thing that Sea World gets right, dead on. And all the busch parks that I've been too as a matter of fact. The food is really good, and pretty cheap for what you get. The roast beef and turkey sanwiches are like two loaves of bread slammed with slabs of meat. The things like pizza and pasta are good, but if you look at the price...sure its a litte expensive, but its cheaper than say disney and the counter service junk you get there.
