Taking our kids to Ruby Tuesdays this weekend for a late Valentines' date ;)

We haven't been in a while & I used to always get crab cakes & the salad bar, but I just checked the menu & my beloved crab cakes are gone! :( Looks like they might have also gotten rid of their mini burgers?

What else is good at Ruby Tuesdays?

I've only been there a few times years ago. Their burgers are good but mostly I enjoyed their salad bar. Enjoy your outing with the family.

I could always count on their salad bar.
I haven't been back since the last time, with their 'NEW' salad bar.
It was awful!!! Everything tasted strange.

I went there a while back. The burger and fries were perfectly good, but nothing to write home about.

So exactly what it there to Ruby Tuesday? I remember seeing the commercials with Scott Glenn, but I'd never been to one. I used to pass the one in Woodland, CA, but never stopped there.

They used to have one of the better salad bars around, but I haven't been there in like 10 years easy. Burgers were all-right, but about like every other similar chain place.

The Ruby Tuesday where we live is consistently good. Food comes out hot, the salad bar is fresh and well stocked. We go there with friends maybe every other month. Hamburgers are good, the sirloin steak is about like Texas Roadhouse and similar places. Love the mashed potatoes, broccoli and zucchini. My husband has had a chicken dish with cheese and mushrooms and liked it. Have never had any seafood there. Ours still has the mini burgers, at least at lunch. I will say that those little biscuits they give you with the meal are not good.

If you sign up on the website they send you coupons or I've seen them in magazines. Usually buy one entree get one 50% off or $7 off of two entrees.

I think management has a lot to do with it and ours seems to be well run. It is usually always busy.

I like the exit door. Seriously, this place has gone from bad to worse over the past few years.

That's what I heard. Also heard they are in financial trouble.

It's a typical mediocre Corporate American Bistro. Nothing to go out of your way to go to. I used to like their soup and salad bar lunch. But I haven't been in in quite awhile. There is just nothing to distinguish it in a very crowded niche.

I finally used up my gift cards. I think I bought them 5 or 6 years ago! Dh never wanted to go. I liked the salad bar, the rest of the food was meh. Now that we don't have any gift cards left, we won't choose to go back.

Although they have great coupons if you get on their mailing list (email). We had $200 in gift cards and it took us FOREVER to use them. I think we got $15 for every $50 we bought, so we actually had $260 total. But with the BOGO coupons, etc....it was hard to use them up!

Sangrias and the salad bar. And their rolls, but they tend to skimp on them lately.

We went about 2-3 weeks ago. I used to enjoy the burgers and I got one and it was ok.

I used to enjoy the salad bar/entree combo and I'd get a quesadilla (I think) and while it wasn't my favorite it was small. And hrs ago I loved their chicken, pasta, broccoli thing but they stopped making that.

We did have the salad bar and there are different things. Smaller bowls for things my kids load up on which isn't great and bigger bowls in other things. I noticed more *odd* foods that are popular now like quinoa so I was t impressed.

The one we go to never has the same servers, yes I know they all get days off but we never see any of the same. The service is bad. My sons food is always wrong so they bring all our food out while we wait 10 min for his and I won't eat unless he has food so I get a cold dinner. I should not have to ask for some kind of compensation for that and I keep saying I am going to complain. Oh and I am so glad I don't eat tomatos, my burger had one on, although I am skeptical because I couldn't see it. You know when you cut a tomato, or at least I do, I cut the bottom off, that's what I got maybe a half dollar sided tomato.

They closed ours and converted it to Marlin and Ray's (which did not appeal to us at all), then did away with Marlin and Ray's. There's another Ruby Tuesday further away but we don't go out of our way to eat there. If they had only kept ours here we would still go sometimes.

A bunch of Ruby Tuesdays in our area are scheduled to close. Some of them because they failed (miserably) health inspections.

We found this out after we had a big extended family meal there as it is my MIL's favorite.

The one by us is decent. We go there sometimes when we have coupons. I usually get the salad bar and it is always good. DH generally has a burger and has always enjoyed them. Last time we went there I had some sort of chicken dish that was a special and it was very good.

Ours closed up suddenly a couple of months ago. I thought the whole company had gone out of business.

Ours too. Employees weren't even notified! What a crappy thing to do!

I always liked their tilapia dishes.

The Hickory Bourbon Salmon and their seasoned (most places don't season theirs, which is usually fine with me) sirloins are very good, also the salad bar. Dh gets the salmon, I get the small sirloin which is always very tender.

We quit going there for several years, then decided to try them again a few years ago - have been pleasantly surprised. The salmon and sirloin are the only things we get.

Am sure, being a chain, some places may be better than others, but the one we go to occasionally has suited us fine.

They can keep their very tiny little biscuits - trying to copy Red Lobster, maybe??? They don't come close!
