Whats going on with Vera Bradley

IVe been trying to get any of the VB bags (except the duffle) since they were released. I have only gotten the small wallet/cell phone case. I've check DisneyStore and have been to WDW 4 times since Oct but have had NO luck. I refuse to buy from EBay. What's up and why can't Disney get these in stock?!

I am heading down next week and I am so sad to see all the posts about not finding any VB products. That was going to be my souvenir for this trip. Hope they have something in the stores!

I think I saw on Facebook that there was a brand new Vera Bradley pattern released just a few days ago. This one, supposedly, is not going to be sold at the Disney Store. Since we're not going to WDW until September, I don't know that there are any options other than Ebay.

The new collection is set to be released on May 4th. I'm not a Vera fan but the new pattern is really nice and one I'd consider purchasing providing there's any left when we arrive on the 5th!

After a week at WDW, hitting all parks, and gift shops at 2 hotels, there were no VB's anywhere. CM's repeatedly told me they were sold out all over property.

Walt Disney World has announced that they will be holding a ticketed brunch entitled “A Perfect Petals Brunch featuring the Disney Collection by Vera Bradley” on Sunday, May 4 from 11 to 2 at Epcot. This event will be the launch of the “Mickey’s Perfect Petals” collection. In addition to brunch and a special gift, event guests will have the first opportunity to purchase seven new items. The event store will also carry some previously released colors from 2013, including “Midnight with Mickey” and “Where’s Mickey.” SPecial guest at the lunch will be Barbara Bradley Baekgaard, co-founder of Vera Bradley. Tickets for this event are $125 and will be available beginning at 1:00 p.m. EDT on March 20, 2014 at DisneyParksMerchandise.com

Last time I found Vera bags at WDW the only place to buy them was the World of Disney Store in Downtown Disney. There were not available at other shops in the parks or resorts. I believe the new bags will only be available at Cherry Tree Lane in Downtown Disney.

Just returned yesterday, For the entire week of vacation, I and the concierge at AKL checked for Vera bags. There were none, and the cast members at World of Disney said they had received no shipments for three weeks.

I was really disappointed when I was there the first week of March - I checked everyday for the bags and they were sold out everywhere. I was told they wouldn't get bags until May. Makes sense now with the new collection coming out.

Super excited about the new vera bag and that I will get to attend the brunch. My guess is there might not be many bags left after the brunch since attendees will be able to buy 2 of each bag. Attendees will also get first try at the previously released midnight Mickey and where's Mickey.

I am loving the new pattern, but my arrival date is May 8! If guests are only allowed to buy 2 of each item, it seems they'll be pretty difficult to find on ebay.

From my understanding the new print (the flower shower Disney version) is only expected to be sold at the ticketed event. IF there are any bags left over from this event those bags will be sold at Cherry Tree Lane, or whatever the new store in DTD will be called. I have also read that at this moment Disney has no plans to carry Vera Bradley online like they did in the beginning. All this info came from the Disney Parks Blog.

I was very lucky to be there when Where's Mickey was released. (pattern I liked and in my favorite color)

I didn't like the first patterns so no biggie. (though my mom liked them and if I'd been able to find one on my OCT or MAR trips I would have bought her one)

I'm not going to be in WDW until July at the earliest so I'll probably miss this one. The pattern itself is not bad but it's not really colors that I'd wear. However my mom might.

I definitely would NOT be paying $125 dollars for a brunch to buy them. I guess if I was a ebay'er or something I might but just to have them, no way.

Well, I just changed our dates and bought tickets to the luncheon. My DMIL is a HUGE Vera Bradley fan. She is over the moon, that we are going to the Vera Bradley event. It's worth every penny to see her so happy!

I so adore VB and when it was announced that she would team with Disney to produce a line of products, I was ecstatic!

So when the 3 patterns came out last fall, I had hopes of finally getting at least a bag thru the online store. But every time I would go to buy one, by the time I went to check out, it would tell me that my item was no longer in stock

Then I asked at our local VB store about new stuff and was told that indeed new patterns and styles were going to be announced for the spring/summer this year. So I had a glimmer of hope that I would be able to finally grab one.

Then this event was added and now to find out that this new pattern, which I absolutely love, will not be carried in the parks or online? I know these are now a high demand product, so who made the decision that making this new pattern in a more extremely limited release than the other 3 were, was a great idea? I refuse to pay ebay prices and since I'm going mid May, I would love to see a product in person to make sure pattern placement and such are what I'm looking for.

I've heard of personal shoppers going to the event and you pay their way and then you should be able to get what you want, but alas I can't afford to do something that extreme.

I guess I will just have to wait and see what, if any, is left over when we go? I hope in turn that the event is a huge success and they decide to release them back into the parks and online!

We will be arriving on May 4th but not be going into the parks till May 5th. Figures!

I wonder if they will have them for sale in DTD the afternoon of May 4th. Otherwise I am not sure that I will be able to get one.

I LOVE Vera but I can't alter my families plans to run around place to place to take a chance on finding one. Oh well. I missed last time around and didn't die so I guess if I miss them again I will still survive.

Where are the stores that migh be selling them? The one store at DTD - is it over in the section with the World of Disney? Where in Epcot do you think they might have them? I will be in Epcot the afternoon of May 5th. If it works with my plans I can pop in and see if I can score one.

I have the Midnight Mickey Mini and I very much wanted to go to the brunch, because I LOVE the new pattern. But the price is so, so high. I was about to pull the trigger and they announced the Star Wars character meals.

Would have loved that new bag, but we are ALL going to have a blasts at those meals, and my teen son thinks I'm awesome in the meantime, lol.
