Kathy/Alex - you have to admit that things seem to have been handled in a bit of a strange way.

Let's be honest - MANY MANY people in the past few days have found their way over to "that board" because of the error made here. We've read the comments and the stories from that side - and they seem pretty damning.

I can FULLY see banning people for crossing the line or even skirting the line - over here. But I just don't get why somebody would be banned here for having an account and a "relationship" with people over there. Bob Slydell was on vacation when this whole disaster happened over the weekend. I don't get why he would be banned if it wasn't simply "Guilt by association".

That site doesn't affect the DIS as a whole. Sometimes people just need a FULLY free outlet and this place CANNOT be that outlet. You have a reputation to uphold and you have to "patrol" it to maintain that reputation but that doesn't stop the need in some to be able to speak in a free manner using whatever language they want to use. If it's not done here that's a good thing - right?

I am just asking honestly because it REALLY does seem as if a large group of people have been treated unfairly. I will also admit that I am now fearful that I will be banned for saying this and admitting that I read over there......

I will admit all of the "poofed" threads made me curious. I googled & found a site where a bunch of former Dis'rs post. Apparently, I had registered there sometime in the past.....I don't even remember when or why.

It was sad to see so many familiar names who apparently are no longer welcome here. I don't really have any idea what happened & am curious to hear both sides.

I will admit I was worried with what I read - I didn't want to be banned from an incidental association. Are we free to belong to other Disney sites? I don't want to be banned from here, but I do believe in freedom of speech.

Hopefully, this will all work out.

I'm curious too! All I know is several threads have gone POOF in the last couple of days. I am clearly not in the loop.

I know! We had a good debate going about circumcision a few days ago and then all of a sudden it went poof.
I didn't realize that subject was now off limits. I've seen that subject discussed many times before.

Apparently, being a member of the other site is a bannable offense for some people. I don't think she deserved to be banned. Or Miss Jasmine. Or, well the list goes on and on. By the way, I'm a member there too. You want to ban me? Be my guest. I follow Dis rules here. But I'm not going to follow them elsewhere!

I am just getting caught up here. Some people who post there were banned, others weren't.

What on Earth could Aidensmom or PoohandWendy have done that JennymomRI didn't? I would be absolutely astounded to hear that either of them did anything illegal. Or that ALL those people did.

I'd like to believe that they weren't just banned for no reason, but it is hard. I just don't get it. But I miss those folks. And I couldn't post *cough* elsewhere *cough* even if I wanted to, which for the first time ever I actually do.

The whole thing sucks.

So, that huge list of banned members...from many different realms of DISdom are somehow involved in legal proceedings with the DIS? Wow! That is a lot of people.

Cut that list in half. Most of them used two or three usernames. Duh.
