What's going on with the boards

A few of the people banned are friends of mine. Aidensmom in particular is a pretty nice person who regularly stuck up for people over there and didn't run people down. I think she got a raw deal. As well as a few other people. I can't speak for them all because I don't know all of them. But even the ones who did poke fun at others were only doing so because they had something they felt like saying and were following the rules here by not posting sarcastic things on the Dis. They did it elsewhere. If people follow the rules here it shouldn't matter what they do on other sites.

That's my two cents...

I think those allegations deserved a response? Especially if they are not true!

Is the Dis in trouble for messing with the links and sending everyone to the "other website" the other night??

How many of the people who are now interested in the other website because of what happened with being redirected over there will be banned from here if they sign up over there??

I was directed there a couple of times but immediately shut down my computer thinking I was being "hacked".

A friend of mine went, posted, and was banned.

However, she was let back in 72 hours later after much stress and grief. I wonder if Alex or Pete thought that was funny?

I do have a question about the stuff going on. Why were some people banned that weren't even around this weekend during the redirect? Some were even allowed to log in on Monday morning and then were banned later in the day. I'm not sure if there is ryhme or reason to the reason for bannings; sometimes it seems more like a whim. I certainly have read alot from some specific posters that are awful, negative, sarcastic and even argumentiative over and over but they are still here.

but why are they trying to punish what people say elsewhere? this happened to another board I was on... it use to have about 1500 very active posters... now its down to about 10. I can see the same thing happening here. How can you try to censor what people say elsewhere? You can stop it on your own site but not sites of other people. From what's been said on both boards (yes I lurk uh oh will I be banned?) they the dis redirected everyone over there...
