What's going on November 7,8?

i tried to book a 7 night vacation at exactly 7 month mark starting November 7th at BLT. I couldn't get it or 8th but did reserve 9-14th in one bedroom theme park view. I have been stalking website multiple times a day and finally just got the 7th so now just waiting on the 8th. I thought about doing split stay for first two nights but it looks like just about everything full already and I was wondering if something is going on that weekend to make it so busy? Now Im going back and forth between doing split stay first two nights at okw with my BLT reservation or just snagging the whole week at okw while I still can. I really hope that one night would just open up at BLT but I don't like the stress of waiting!

Oh ok. Thanks for the fast reply! I've never been in November and haven't heard of that. I'll give it a few more weeks of stalking and wait listing BLT for the 8th before I give up and book at okw or ssr

I noticed that too. I had a one bedroom booked for a week, then found out it was going to be just DH and I so I wanted to change to a studio and had a hard time getting one anywhere. I have Kidani on 11/7 and boardwalk 11/8-11/13. I thinks it's a combination of things. End of jersey week, food and wine festival, and the marathon, also beginning of Christmas party.

That weekend is one of the extremely high DVC demand times. The Friday of that weekend is actually the second highest DVC demand night of the year behind NYE, and that is a close second. Combination of factors include the Food & Wine race on Sat, it is usually part of Jersey week (when New Jersey schools are closed), Park Christmas decorations begin on the Friday and the first Mickley's Very Merry Christmas Party usually occurs that weekend

Getting into BWV for those dates without the 11 month window is great. My wife and I have done each of the 5 Wine & Dine half marathons. It is so much more convenient to stay at BCV or BWV with a short walk home from the world showcase instead of walking to the front of the park and waiting on a bus to get home from the after party.

I agree! We love the Epcot area and wanted to buy there when we first became members, but our guide at the time told us the only ones we could buy were AKV and SSR. We later added on resale at BWV. So, I actually did book before 7 months, but not much before because of the change in villa size. Last year, I was able to book at BCV right at 7 months but that was for a 2 bedroom. This will be our first stay ever in a studio.

"Jersey week" is always in demand..a lot of districts have half days for teacher conferences....Some are closed Tuesday, Nov.3rd for Election Day and Thursday-Friday, Nov.5,6th is NJEA convention...Busy week at WDW for families and teachers!

Make sure you have something for that Saturday night by mid-May or you might not get anything for that night. That weekend is generally completely booked up before June at all resorts and in about every room size.
