What's going on at US and hotels?

Does anyone know what is going on at the parks January 11-14th? There is not one on site hotel to be had. I can only get check in on the 14th which is a Saturday. You would think that would be a sold out day not mid week.

The Builders' Convention is in Orlando during that time period. They are expecting approximately 110,00 people. I'm sure that is having an effect on the availability of onsite hotels.
