Just wondering what everyone is having tonight or planning for the next day or two. I'm clueless at the moment.

Well, dh had some friends over today and for lunch I put out some sliced deli meats and cheeses and buns. So, to keep dinner simple, I'm boiling some eggs and slicing up the remaining meats and cheese and we're having Chef's salads for dinner.

It's a good cooking night at my house. Grilled marinated chichen (italian dressing), homemade oven fries spiced with garlic, rosemary, and seseme seeds, and carrot apple stir fry. Lots of dishes but since I'm cooking, DH will do the dishes.

well since it's sunday we always have a nice meal. dh loves homemade soup. so my little man and i made venus demilo soup. dh's 2nd favorite. garlic dip to have while he watchs tv tonight, homemade white cake with white frosting. ( my favorite) dh will have grilled cheese with his soup, i will just have the soup and dh(3) will have chicken and fries. i just love the smell of the house when there is good food cooking!!!!
:flower:

I just made up some beef stew. We'll probably have that with some baked apple slices, leftover biscuits and a salad.

We ordered Chinese for dinner, and had it delivered. That is always a treat.

Tomorrow we will have tacos and spanish rice.

Hmmmmmm.....Home made Chili Con Carne with Brown Rice......Yummy :flower3:

oooooh breakfast for supper is one of our favorites! we love that!!!
:teeth:

Oooo, Chinese....my favorite! :teeth: :teeth: :teeth: :teeth:

We're having kielbasa off the grill (yes, DH stood out in his winter coat to grill it :rotfl2: ), creamy garlic noodles (Lipton) and corn for DH & DD and I'm having a salad - too much starch. ;)

I have my menus planned for the week. If I didn't, we wouldn't be eating!

Sunday - Frito Pie
Monday - Homemade Chili
Tuesday - Turkey Tacos
Wednesday - Cheddar Burgers
Thursday - Beef Stroganoff
Friday - Chicken Noodle Soup
Saturday - Take out Pizza

Stir-fry night. Broccoli, green beans, and carrots stir-fried with teriyaki, ginger, sesame seeds, and garlic. A few teriyaki ginger chicken sausage slices thrown in as well. All over brown rice. Yummy.

We had "eat the fridge" night: leftover sticky wings, fried rice, eggrolls, porkchops with sauerkraut, pizza. Everyone had something different, but now we can at least see the shelves lol!

June

Tonight was Thanksgiving Again. Turkey, stuffing, squash, mashed potatoes, carrots, rolls, and gravy. Leftovers for the rest of the week.

sun night (last night) bratwurst and red cabbage
mon night (tonight) eggplant parm (homemade from the freezer)
tues night (tuesday) something yet to be decided with ground turkey probably turkey make your own tacos
beyond that ... we'll need to hit the store ... :-)

Tonight is sloppy Joes, I add white rice and green pepper to it and it's yummy, I always get at least two meals from it. Hubby works late tomorrow night so I'll wing it with for the kids and my self. Nancy

Wow, ya'll are so creative!! Here's a good laugh for you:

Yesterday afternoon (Sunday) I put on a pot of pinto beans to soak and then started cooking them about 3. Had to go to church for 2 meetings; one at 5 one at 5:30. Last thing I told DH as I walked out the door, "The beans on the stove are on medium and should have plenty of water but keep an eye on them so they don't burn." That was at 10 til 5...at 6:30 I pulled into the driveway, got to the back door and could smell burnt beans!! :scared1: Do you know how BAD burnt pinto beans smell?!?! :crazy2: I saw DH walk through the kitchen as I was flying through the door and said "YOU LET THE BEANS BURN!!!" He said "I just now started smelling them!!" I said "I can smell them all the way outside on the carport!! What do you mean you just now smelled them?! Didn't you check them to make sure they were ok?!" Then we got into this huge arguement and I told him he was going have to eat them burnt whether he liked them or not!! :headache: DDs (14, 9 and 6) and myself don't really care for them much altho I'll eat a little...but not this time!! Man, it was awful!! The whole house smelled bad!! So in addition to the burnt pinto beans, we had fried pork chops, mashed potatoes, green peas and Niblets corn. DDs 9 and 6 had a Kids Cuisine!!
Tonight....I have 1/2 a bag of Tyson honey BBQ wings and 1/2 a bag of Tyson Buffalo wings so we'll finish that out and whatever else I can throw together...I promise you, it will NOT be pinto beans!!! :rotfl2:
Tuesday night....clueless...thinking a roast or maybe grilled steak
Wed night is church night so it;ll have to be Q & E
Thursday night I have a work meeting so again it'll be leftovers or Q & E. Clueless rest of the week!

DH is the world's pickiest eater. He won't eat any Mexican, Italian, anything w/cheese or tomatoes in it, no casseroles, no green veggies...well actually no veggies other than beans and potatoes and they have to be mashed or fried. Pretty much any meat as long as it's fried or grilled. No tacos, no pizza, no spaghetti, no pasta ....only meat, beans and potatoes...and bread w/every meal. I tell him all the time he's so unAmerican!! :earsboy:
Kids are almost as bad as he is but at least they'll eat pasta, cheese, and pizza. It's not uncommon for me to fix 2 different meats, potatoes plus pastas, 2 or 3 different veggies just to get everyone happy and eating dinner. What's a girl to do?!?! :confused3

Tonight's dinner is Chicken Vera Cruz Verde with brown rice and acorn squash. Tomorrow night is Balsamic Flank Steak with sweet potatoes. Haven't figured out anything further. Tuesday is menu planning and shopping day.

I'm usually good about my menus, but the holidays have put an end to that! LOL

We just got back from Vegas, so we'll be eating healthier for awhile to recoup from all those buffets... :rotfl:
