That's the cookbook I used too! I bet we used the same recipe, because there was only one for Greek Chicken! I added the lemon juice, and it was pretty good! My picky eater 8 year old ate it, so it couldn't have been bad! LOL

Pot of boiling water (10 cups), 10 beef bouillon cubes, 4 large diced onions thrown in, small slices of french bread cut up and put into crocks with soup (finally done) poured in, sprinkling of mozzarella cheese. Super cheap!

We had 3 FREE chicken sandwhiches McD's is giving away today with the purchase of a medium drink. The cost was 3 medium drinks (4.20) and I made a box of mac and cheese (.50) Actualy were very tasty, a spinoff of Chick-Fil-A's chicken sandwhiches served with just the chicken breast, bun and 2 pickles.

We had hot dogs, hamburgers and fruit...yummy!! and fairly inexpensive.

Tomorrow gotta think of something warm for the cold, snowy day we are supposed to have.

Tonight we had BLTs and I heated up some left over FF from last night. We also had some yellow cake with lite strawberry cool whip (I added the pureed strawberrys) and vanilla ice cream. Yum! :)

Tonight is steaks (free...my mom has us on auto-delivery from QVC!), a can of Bush's Grillin' Beans (I don't know why, but I had to try these!), and a veggie. I also have some frozen french fries in the toaster oven for DS8, who wouldn't eat a bean if his life depended on it.

I can't wait to hear how you like the beans (or don't like).

We had tuna melts and watermelon....that $1 watermelon went a long way!!:thumbsup2

Fried Rice (rice $0.25; ham $0.50; eggs $0.50; soy sauce $0.25)
365 Asian Stir Fry Veggies ($0.70)
Drinks ($0.25)

We liked the beans! They were pretty good. I can't remember exactly what flavor I got...they were bbq I think. I'd buy'em again...with a coupon! LOL

Dh had some leftover carrots and onions (already used up the celery though... doh!) from some chicken soup made as part of a church dinner, so that was technically free (they would've just been thrown out if left at church... perish the thought!). I through them into a pot of water with some close-to the date boneless chicken breast that had been marked down... $3.44 for the meat. That made enough chicken for about six meal's worth, though I like to take some of the chicken out and make chicken salad out of the boiled chicken so that the leftovers used for next day lunch seem different. Still, a little mayo, onion powder, salt, and poultry seasoning does not exactly add a lot of cost. I can safely say that each meal came to less $1, probably closer to about 65-70 cents. Since I eat low-carb, I don't add rice/pasta to the soup or bread for my chicken salad. Just meat and veggies are good enough for my body and my wallet!
