We've just had a lovely chinese takeaway! :thumbsup2

we are having chicken curry

We had a tomato and lamb curry tonight. It was one of those rare occasions where I decided to cook something from scratch rather than getting a 'bung it in the pan and heat it up' dinners. It turned out really well even though I still can't dice an onion without it flying everywhere to save my life. :sad2:

just phoned my friend Raj, there are about 15 Indian restaurants in Merthyr and we are lucky enough to have the best one a five minute walk away, chicken vindaloo and the X Factor what more can a girl ask for

....a bottle of wine! :confused3

i had steak, butternut squash, mushrooms, tomatoes. all washed down with wine yum yum :)

Chinese take away ( In U.S. is called take out), but I like to be able to use at least some of the British terminology, be it slang or formal, that I have learned so far. :)

Kind of a funny story...........one of my favorite shows is Keeping Up Appearances, and the character Onslow, quite fancies bacon butties. Well I had always sworn, that he was saying, bacon buddie (s), well it turns out, that someone who spends time on this website ( A different forum ), is from England, and was good enough to let me know that it is not buddie (s) but rather buttie (s). Good to know, now I can type the name of that food item, and not embarrass myself any further ( Of course there are other terms to contend with as well ;) :) ) he he!
