What's everyone selling on eBay?

I sell mostly good condition used children's clothes (Gymboree, Gap, Kelly's Kids, hand smocked items) and some toys (when I get my DDs to part with them).

Every year we are involved along with lots of other Mommies on the Yahoo Gymboree groups in launching auctions to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis foundation. One year we raised over $10K!

The auctions start this year on April 4th and will have the wording "Cure CF" in the titles. If you are surfing ebay that week check out those auctions if you have a chance. 100% of the proceeds goes to the charity.

Hey yall can somebody instruct me on how to get started selling on ebay? I have several items including some very new college textbooks that I would like to sell on either ebay or half.com. Textbooks sell MUCH better on Amazon than on ebay.

Hi all!

I sell books. video games, old VHS tapes, DVDs, and CDs. But I sell on Half.com mostly - some on Amazon. Occasionally, eBay.

eBay takes soooooo long for me to list stuff, it's frustrating, plus, I hate paying the listing fees up-front. So, I do it the easy way.

I have TONS of LL Bean clothes to sell. I think I'll have a yard sale for those. Plus, sooooooo many kids toys - legos, i Cybies, etc - too overwhelming to think about.

Ok, maybe, I'll list a couple of things today. The JUST DO IT mentality, right?

I need to take pictures of some more and list. I'm dispepe10.

I also listed with Craig's List for the first time a few days ago, and already sold a child's bike.

Disney Cast Member Nametags..

We have mostly Where the Magic Lives ones, but we also have some DCL, Imagineering, Wide World of Sports, Disneyana, Celebration (the disney community) Disney Institute, Millenium, 100 Years of Magic etc. We've been having so much fun with this! It was a pain to sort all the names, and we still don't have them all photographed.. I am using Ebay's Turbo lister to create an inventory and list a few each week. I usually sell a little bit of everything. Mostly clothes my DD has grown out of. Lately I've been selling Disney wallpaper borders. Right now I have Princess and Tink. I also have Ariel, but she's not currently listed. Listed right now is the border, some dance outfits and capris. I usually only list on Sunday too.

I've sold a lot of different things. Right now, I'm thinning out the toys in my daycare. There are several that no one plays with that I'm certain they won't miss.

I've found some thngs at my local resale shop which have sold really well. I'm always amazed at some of the things that take off.

I have some auctions up now but it seems very, very slow. I wonder, is it because of tax season and people waiting to pay their taxes, therefore, not buying on ebay. Or, garage sale season is just starting up around my neck of the woods.

A break has been good. I just need to get back into the swing of listing. I'm sure it won't be long before I'm back full force.

Woohooo! I finally got the start for my many, many videos up on Ebay!!!

I currently have 305 videos on Ebay and plan on putting another 100 up by Friday!!

Lots of work but hopefully it will pay off some I already have some hits on a few and I had some questions on others. One video is already up to $20.00!!!!

I was going to start my own thread but decided to try here first! I need help ASAP! I listed a Bumbo baby seat on Ebay.....my first listing ever. I posted the listing last night and listed it as mint condition. My baby hated the seat and so we never used it. After I posted the listing, I noticed a tiny hole in the seat, the size of a pencil head. (my 3 year old son must have done this with a toy of some sort) I IMMEDIATELY went into my listing and revised it to give notice of the tiny hole. Well, you guessed it - the revision somehow never went through and someone placed a bid on it and now I cannot make any changes. What do I do? I don't want negative feedback the first time I sell! I went into My Ebay and it shows three revisions were made last night, which is right, but for some reason it didn't take. HELP!!!!!
I am scared! I still have 6 days left on the listing....

Is anyone else having a really slow/dry period selling on Ebay right now? I've had some nice Disney stuff up(a new teapot & kitchen utensils)....with lots of watchers, but no bites! I'm thinking, maybe the time of year is a factor..tax time??
I only started selling last fall, so I've never gone through a Ebay Spring or Summer...is it usually slow?Anyone else?

I have found that it is slow right now, usually I see it pick up faster, but in Jan-Feb I didn't notice as much of a decline as years past, it just seems now that nothing is picking up. I think alot very recently has to do with spring break and easter. I try to avoid holidays like that for listing bigger better items. Of course I have a garage full of little tikes just waiting!

I have been doing pretty good. I mostly sell Disney things, and that usually does well anyway. I am putting up one of my sericels this Sunday. Hopefully, that will go well. I need the extra $$$ for my upcoming girls-only trip to WDW for the Minnie 15k!

Just curious, has anyone else had problems with turbo lister? I have tried it on 3 computers now and even after a feesh download it doesn't seem to want to work for me. It would make life so much easier to have it list them for me when I want, with a simple click instead of paying the .10 each or revising the items. We finally have on the amount of items we'd like to keep on....over 500! Whew! Added candles and some other new items as well as the multitude of books and clothing. Ebay name is jodthetoad BTW, I think things have slowed down a bit at this time, as far as sales go. Oh and if you're into sci-fi....sheesh have about 600 more I haven't even had time to put on yet! Yea! Disney in 2 months from today! Fort Wilderness here we come!
