I'm with you on the Halloween clothes. We stocked up when Target had the 90% off and hoping we can at least get our money back out of them this Halloween. Of course we have to store them for a year, but we'll see what happens.

Me too :teeth:

I just realized I had a ton of gorgeous dresses of my dd's that I should have listed way before Easter. I'm not sure if they'll sell now after the fact.

Any thoughts about girls dresses? I've never had any luck with her clothes.

Rachel

I have had good luck with kid's/baby clothes IF it's a name brand and in exxcellent shape. Gymboree and Gap sell quite well, as do other boutique brands like Hannah Anderson and Naartjie.

I have a whole big garbage bag of Halloween costumes to put up in August or so....mostly used Disney store ones both kids have now outgrown. Hope I do really well! :wizard:

So is the trick to buy at the end of the season when childrens brand name clothes are really discounted hold onto them for months and months till it is time to start selling for a new season????

I stockpile, too, and then list according to season.

I buy a lot of used namebrand winter outerwear like Northface, REI, Patagonia, etc. and then wait until the time is ready. Halloween costumes and summerwear, too, except I think cruise wear sells well year-round.

Happy ebaying! :wizard:

I started listing girls clothing (mostly size 5,6 6X)--play clothes and dresses which have all been doing pretty well and some shoes and sandals I've had to part with because of my bunion (boo hoo!)--listing through this week, then will take a break until we come back from our WDW trip!! :thumbsup2

I haven't really listed anything before last week since last December. I've noticed there's A LOT of last minute bidding going on these days. I had no bids until the day before and I only had 1 bid until the day some started to end. Is this the new trend (buyers are getting too smart--of course half the buyers are sellers LOL!! :rotfl: ...so we know!!)

My ebay ID is the same as it is on here ;)

Rachel-
I'd search completed auctions for your brands of dresses & see how they are doing. If you have a store you could put them in there, if not just see what they have been getting.

Cruisewear/bathing suits seem to do pretty well year-round, again better if you have a store.

I don't necessarily buy tons/store & stockpile/wait to list but I do think ahead and try to see what will be hot/interesting etc...

For the person who asked about PP, you need to upgrade your account if you state that you'll accept PayPal in your auctions. Accepting PP means that you accept all forms, including credit card/debit card funded.

HTH!

I posted my 1st thing in a long time. A pair of Ladies size 10 regular length banana republic khakis. He's hoping they fetch something. My id is we_ship_quick. I'm trying to get back to listing I must have atleast 50 things to sell!

They are ending today. My id is valentinemommy214. This is actually my first time selling. I usually just buy.

I finally got turbo-lister to work, since I downloaded a later version. That's a good thing!!! Halloween costumes sell very well. I bought some to hold onto also. In fact anytime you pay 10% of the price, or 90% off, you can't help but make money. We have an ebay store also, but I find it works much better if you have some auctions to get people to go see your store, kind of a leader, or advertising. Besides you just never know when something is going to take off in price. We had a few items that sold for a lot more than usual this week. Selling in groups of items, such as all clothes, or lots of books or any type of category always gets more lookers too, mention it in your auction and they will almost certainly look at your store then to see what other goodies you have. BTW, I like ebay's search feature within your own store now too! Anyway, enough from me...Check out ours sometime if you have time and are bored....we have well over 500 items on now, that's about where I want to be. Seller's name is jodthetoad Good luck everyone! :cheer2:

Just wanted to toss out a last minute head's up on my Disney items ending tonight. They're mostly really cute Pooh clothes and a few stuffed animals, all brand new from the Disneystore. Come on by...user id katrinka319.

Right now I have only 13 items up, 3 are selling and lots of lookers on the others. I have a Mickey Mouse body parts teapot & Mickey kitchen utensils,(both brand new, given as gifts to me)...but don't seem to be selling!??

Well, I just got around to listing a few things I've had around, some stuff I bought for my recent disneyland trip that I didn't use. I have a boys power rangers shirt NWT (7-8), a combi urban baby carrier, a pressed coin book (for disneyworld, I accidentally bought the wrong one before my trip). Besides that I also have a leappad with some books and a my first leappad with some books. I think that's it, for now anyway. Oh, my id is: bornkuntry :)

I was so excited to have sold 4 items last week. I relisted my adorable, brand new Disneystore clothes , infant to adult. Stop by if you're interested( user id katrinka319). Oh yes, also a handful of stuffed animals still available. There's an especially cute pink Pooh in baby clothes and cap. Most end Sat. 4/29.

I have some older Disney figuries up for auction along with a lot of pins.

If you win one of my auctions be sure to let me know you are on the DIS Budget board.

I have a bunch of things up now...some Disney PJ pals, t-shirts, legos, k'nex, books, movies, care bears

I just had 16 of my auctions end about an hour ago. From those 16 auctions I made $80.00, not bad :)
They were mostly kids clothes!
