Didn't realise you meant the museum at Cosford, thought you were going to the actual RAF base itself and couldn't understand why you would want (or need) to - just being nosey really

We are staying in 2 travelodges this weekend, booked in last years sale £9/night
Sunday a day of Geocaching, will have a picnic somewhere. Monday at Telford, Ironbridge museums. Tuesday going to RAF cosford.

Oh Geocaching sounds imteresting, one of the Sgts showed it to me the other day and there were plenty places round WDW that had things hidden when we put the WDW zip code in!

Nothing special on sunday as DD will be at her Nans however we will have a roast on the Monday, probably chicken.I'm working til 5 or 6 on Sunday, so I'll probably grab McDonalds or something, since I am then packing to go home for a couple of days that evening

Anyone with a teenager that won't get their nose out of their computer screen Geocaching is a brilliant hobby. Gets you out and about and find places you never knew were there. Lived around here for 42 years and its taking me places that are amazing within a stones throw from home. We all go around with tunnel vision.
Also meet a lot of new people, did a meet in Lincoln a few month back at a set time about 50-60 of us appeared from no-where dressed as cops and robbers 15 mins of photo's, swapping geocoins & travel bugs etc. then dispersed, the locals were gobsmacked

Just once we had to do some quick thinking, parked up side of lake finding a cache in Florida, sherif came to ask what we were doing, just acted like a dumb foreign tourist told him I was taking pics of lake. Asked us to move on as there were Gators in the lake, he was a little grumpy.

We are having Cola cooked ham tomorrow and on Sunday it a huge rib of beef(on offer from our local butcher).

DS2 was very poorly over Christmas so christmas lunch was hard work for every as we all were trying to have a nice time

Ds2 is still poorly but his pain relief is better controlled so I am really looking forward to Easter. I love cooking and althought I did the full Christmas bit I didn't enjoy doing it. Have still to decide on puddings but at the mo it looking like a summer type trifle, I've made some meringues and DS1 has asked for Choc profiteroes(?sp) which are so easy to do.

Roast chicken because the kids will eat it. I like to do Jamie Oliver's leg of lamb recipe but the kids don't like lamb, so I'm going for the easy option. Pudding will be Easter eggs or treacle pudding and custard - there will be no healthy option on offer.

You learn something new every day and you've also just made mine. My DH got a GPS for Christmas as he loves walking and he's forever messing about with it - doing what boys do with their toys! Anyway, after following the link you gave there is a cache in our village! Now when the Lamb is roasting on Easter morning we can all go for a walk and hopefully find it. My girls will love the adventure and DH - well he will get to play with his toy - result.

I can see this being a weekend hobby we can all do together.

Yes you need a GPS unit, we have one like this they range from about £50 upto around £400 (with maps, colour etc) When we 1st started I used my PDA/bluetooth reciever with this software 1 months free trial. Once we knew we liked it our friend in US bought us the Garmin.
You can find the odd ones by reading the logs and clues.

We're having a roast leg of pork with stuffing, mashed potatoes, petit pois and baby carrots, cabbage, Cauliflower and broccoli with some lovely yorkshire puddings and pork gravy all before 1 p.m. hopefully. There will be no room for a dessert BUT we'll have sandwiches and a strawberry trifle for tea around 6 p.m. Followed by Easter Egg
