I am in need of recipes for my crock pot!!! HELP!!! seems if I dont cook in the pot then we eat out =( as we just dont have the energy at the end of the day!

I just made a ham yesterday in my crock pot. It was my first time making a ham and it turned out AMAZING... love having leftovers for the week too :)

Chicken Wild Rice Soup

1 can cream of chicken soup
1 can chicken broth
2 - 3 cups cooked chicken - Sometimes I throw it in the crockpot the night before and cut it up real quick in the morning before throwing in the other ingredients
1 8 oz package cream cheese
1 box Uncle Ben's wild rice with seasoning packet
3 1/2 cups water

Also, sautee 1 onion, 1 cup carrots- slices or shredded, & 2 - 3 stalks celery and throw in.

Cook on low all day. If it gets too thick add water or milk to thin a bit. You can double this recipe and freeze half.

I do skinless/boneless chicken breasts with BBQ sauce on low all day. You can either eat it with a fork or on buns.

Here is my go to:

Stringey Meat
1 chuck roast or briskett
1 envelope Lipton onion soup

Put roast in crock pot and sprinkle soup all over meat.
Cook on low all day or high 4 hours.
You can even put cut up potatoes on top for the last 2 hours.

I take out the meat and serve....

Put all leftover meat and the juices from the roast in the fridge. The next day, skim off any fat. You now have a flavorful broth and meat to use in a soup.
For beef barley, I saute some celery and carrot, add broth (might need to add more) shredded leftover beef and some barley. Cook for 30-45 min, adding any additional veggies in the last few minutes.
For french onion, add carmelized onions, shredded beef and bring to a boil. Put in oven safe bowl, float a piece of toast on top, cover with gruyer cheese and put under broiler until bubbly and brown.
Or, leave the beef out of the soup and shred with bbq sauce for sandwiches another night!

I just did a sirloin roast last night. Put it in at about 10, with about a cup of chicken broth. It was ready and super tender at 6:00. I have also put several chicken breasts in with 16oz of diet coke and a cup of ketchup, it is really good. I do better with simple meat recipes than something with tons of ingredients.

potatoes au gratin, currently

in the past month:
yogurt (I do this regularly)
French dip
bbq ribs (same as pp with chicken)
meatballs in teriyaki sauce
bean and ham bone soup
pork steak w/apple butter
spaghetti sauce

you can also do sloppy joes...look at this site for other ideas: http://crockpotgirls.com/recipes/

Ham and bean soup. Open a bag of dry bean soup, add to crockpot, fill with water, add pieces of ham for flavoring. Cook all day and it's ready for supper. That's what we had tonight. It's one of DH's favorites and my kids like it too.

just ate it. :)

Throw a couple handfulls of carrots in the bottom of the pot. Make 2" meatballs:

I use 1lb ground turkey, 1 egg, big splash of milk, parm cheese, 1/2 breadcrumbs salt and pepper.

Mix 1 cup beef boulion w/1 6oz can of tomato paste and pour over top.

Cook on high 4-6hrs

Throw a bag of frozen Italian Style on top and cook on high for another half hour or so. Yum.

I love chicken and wild rice soup- but my recipe is this one http://www.thatsmyhome.com/slowcooker/wildric.htm without the sherry.
can be a really good use of next week's left over turkey.

I made this yesterday as it was wash day and I wanted red beans and rice--red beans and rice are a New Orleans and the surrounding areea tradition for Monday/wash day. This recipe was delicious by the way--with buttered jiffy corn bread on the side.

Just thought of another family favorite

Premade meatballs (store bought frozen)
Can of Hunt's Garlic and Herb spaghetti sauce

Cook on low all day serve over spaghetti noodles or in french bread rolls with provolone cheese on top.

My husband and teenage sons love this.

I will have to try these red beans and rice!!!! YUM

tonight we had a pot roast that I put in this morning and poured on top of it a can of cream of mushroom soup and 1/2 can of water. Cooked till about 5:00 and we ate it over the refrigerated ready to eat mashed potatos and added a bag of steam in the bag broccoli. SOOO easy and yummy too.

Try crockpotgirls.com. You can also find them on Facebook. They started on facebook but got too big for it and had to start their own website. I've gotten quite a few good ones off of there!

I love the crockpot365 site listed previously. It's fun to just pick a recipe and try it.

I put together my crockpot meals the night before and either cook it on low or warm over night, or turn it on in the morning. Just depends on what time we're gonna eat.

I make lots of chili, potato soup, and chicken. When I cook the chicken, I use the meat for a bunch of different stuff, then slow cook the bones for the broth in another meal.

We love this soup at my house! I don't eat mine with the corn chips, but DH & DS say it tastes great with them.

Paula Deen's Taco Soup

2 lbs. ground beef
2 cups diced onions
2 (15-1/2 oz) cans pinto beans
1 (15-1/2 oz) can red kidney beans
1 (15-1/2 oz) can whole kernel corn, drained
1 (14-1/2 oz) can Mexican-style stewed tomatoes
1 (14-1/2 oz) can diced tomatoes
1 (14-1/2 oz) can tomatoes and green chilies
2 (4-1/2 oz) cans diced green chiles
1 (4-5/8 oz) can black olives, drained and sliced
1 (1-1/4 oz) package taco seasoning mix
1 (1 oz) package ranch dressing mix
Corn chips, for serving
Sour cream, grated cheese, chopped green onions, sliced jalapeno - for garnish

Brown the ground beef and onions in a large skillet; drain off excess fat and transfer browned beef and onions to a large slow cooker.

Add the beans, corn, and tomatoes (mash stewed tomatoes if the chunks are too large), green chilies, black olives, taco seasoning, and ranch dressing mix.

Cook 6 - 8 hours on LOW in crockpot. To serve, place a few corn chips in each bowl and ladle soup over them. Top with sour cream, cheese, green onions, and jalapenos.

I love the Crockpot 365 blog that a previous poster mentioned. I have also gotten lots of recipes from this website http://www.sangotn.com/cookbook/crockpot/index-5b.html

Frozen chicken breasts cook nicely in the crockpot, and I have made some wonderful beef stews, too.
