Just got back from Disney. Board has been "unwrapped" to read...

Disney Vacation Club (center justified on the sign w/ logo)

(then a split view of the Polynesian resort on the left and contemporary on the right)

Across the picture of the Polynesian (it's actually a rendering of what appears to be an expansion of the existing resort with some recognizable, existing buildings (like the great ceremonial hall and new pool) in the background with new buildings drawn in the forefront) it reads:

"The Villa's at Disney's Polynesian Resort" (in artsy, staggered working (much like the different sig's here on the boards)

Across the picture of the Contemporary (it's actually a rendering of what appears to be an expansion of the existing resort with some recognizable, existing buildings in the background (like the tower...duh!) with new buildings drawn in the forefront) it reads:

"The Villa's at Disney's Contemporary Resort" (in artsy, staggered working (much like the different sig's here on the boards)

Across the bottom it says "Coming Soon..." in italics

When I get back home today I'll upload some pics.

The more I think about it, the CR would actually make sense, but with the Poly thrown in there, that makes it a little more far fetched. I didn't even think the Poly was a rumored DVC locale (although I know it was a desired location by members).

And why is it after all this time, no one has a picture of the billboard? Either wrapped or "unwrapped". Where is Diane!? Maybe she climbed up there and unwrapped it!

It's not like we won't know the truth soon. Their are plently of people there now, or living in Florida, that will be able to hopefully post a picture soon.

Who ever thought it was funny to say that the billboard sign near Epcot reveals information about DVC adding onto both the Polynesian & Contemporary is lying. I drove by this morning and the gift wrapped package is still gift wrapped. I don't understand why someone would think it would be funny to say such a thing to so many people. I too am excited to see what's coming but would never post such a statement to get a group of people into a frenzy... very sad....

I told my husband about the rumored or wished for DVC Hawaii as I've read some rumors about guides saying Aloha as a hint. He had a good point that maybe it is just the Polynesian and not something in Hawaii. Hmmmm. It is fun to wish for future DVC locations. Now they just need to hurry up and make some official announcements so we can know for sure.

Well, I don't know who did this, but I just get exhausted looking at it. Whoever put this myth together really went all out. I don't know about the rest of you but I find it too exhausting and tiring to lie. I like to spend my cycles doing other things like planning Disney vacations.

But some people have a lot of time on their hands. I'm jus wondering why they said that they "just got back" but at the end said that "when they get back" they will post pictures....

the person may be lying, but what he said at the end was when I get back today, i will post pictures. He might have been goind to the store or to work and didn't have time to post. Therefore, I wouldn't flame him necessarily just for his word choice since htey were not necessarily inconsistent.

There are many people on this board that post under more than one user name (I will honestly say I'm not one of them), and chances are the person that posted the "what appears to be false" info. is on here right now and may even be posting their own dismay over the hoax. (Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde come to mind!)

I feel in my heart that 99% of the people here are good, honest, and trust-worthy...it's the 1% that you just have to shake your head at.

My gosh people, why are we now making a big stink about this? It wasn't really that serious of an event. It's not like ya all sold your points to get into this. We all know from time from time, things are made up. And even it does turn out to be true no one should take real action or thought into anything till we hear otherwise from the people that it matters(ie Disney). Till then it's fun to hear and think about. It shocks me more that some of you are taking it personal, if it was a lie. Lighten up, is all I'm saying!
