What's better? Drive to TTC and park and ride the monorail or drive to MK for MVMCP?

We will be staying at SSR. Drive to the transportation ticket center and take the monorail or drive to MK parking lot? Thanks.

the answer is always drive................time is too valuable.

I'm with Bongo. I can drive and be in the theme park before the bus picks passengers up at the resort...especially SSR.

For MK, I'd take the bus, otherwise we always drive. The reason being is that the buses go straight to MK and the parking lot gets you to the TTC then you have to take the monorail or ferry to the park.

Just for a different viewpoint, I travel a lot for business and rent a lot of cars. The last thing I want to do on vacation is drive. If I have to worry about a rental car, the entire process is WAY too reminiscent of work for me. The busses and other transportation help me relax and not think about work but enjoy it as a vacation.

Would it be quicker for me to have a car and drive places? Absolutely. Would that make it a better vacation for my family and I? Not a chance in the world.

IMO, OKW and to a degree SSR, are far too isolated to make doing without a car reasonable a choice, I know many agree and others do not. What you call freedom from work, for me would be trapped at the resort. Saving an extra hour in a day going to the parks, and two hours a day if one wants to get to other resorts for meals, is a major plus for me having a car.

That's what is wonderful about WDW; different options for different people.

We have done OKW (twice) with no car and thought it was fantastically relaxing.

The OP should think about their own personality (and the personalities of all traveling) and decide what would suit them best.

I would take the bus, because when I want to leave MVMCP, I'm too tired to search for my car in the lot.

We always have a car (ours or a rental) when at WDW and we still use
the bus to get to MK from SSR.

We dont even do MK or AKL when staying at Epcot Resorts unless we monorail over from a park because quite frankly, who knows how many stops the shared bus will make. Yes I know in busy times they arent supposed to be shared, but there is no schedule of such times.

When at SSR, the busses are direct to MK so we take the bus and skip the TTC, the parking lot tram, and the boat/monorail to MK.
