You're Invited! Don't Miss This Magical Holiday Event.‏

This invitation came to my e-mail. Specifically, I would like to know on what sort of viewing instrument would I need. We're the sort with an older TV, I only have an ordinary cell phone, of course, I do have a computer. If I sign up, will I be able to view the webcast?

Thanks.
Bobbi:goodvibes

it's just a video on the computer. Do the systems check in the confirmation email and it will tell you if you are all set.
HTH!

You definitely need a computer to watch this. You will be given a link to a website, and you watch what amounts to a TV show on your computer. As to if your computer can handle it, after you register, a page comes up with a link to a site that will test your computer for compatibility.

I got the invite too! I just registered. I wonder what special deals they will offer for add ons??? Can't wait to hear. I can't afford any, but a girl can dream can't she!!!:rotfl:

Its an internet "TV" show you watch on your computer....Should be pretty cool..Wonder what the free litho will be?

I just registered for the webcast. I don't have any idea what they'll broadcast, but it doesn't hurt to look.

After I registered for the webcast, I received a confirmation email. The email has a button to click to check whether my system could handle the webcast. It said that my browser failed (I use Safari 4.0.4 on my Mac and it said I should download the Firefox browser). However, the test video that is part of the system check worked fine. Did anyone else get the same response when doing the system check?

Its great that Disney does a system check to see if you can handle the webcast. I wonder if they also have a "wallet" check :teacher: to see if you can handle the add-on expenses???

I did the systems check and everything got a check mark. But I use firefox already.

Now I'm singing "I'm dreaming of an add on":lmao:

I'm signed up for the 8th- just showed a check mark on the test, nothing else.

I just signed up to watch too. It will probably be a nice video with subliminal messages and we all will add 1000 points by the end of it.

What is the webcast for? I didn't get an email, but I was wondering if it was a special event like the opening day webcasts for BLT and GCV.

It's a webcast to tell you how Disney can make the holiday season more fun. It's apparently called "Unwrapping the World."

Yep, I signed up too. We're not planning on adding anything, but it will be interesting to see what the incentives are. Probably 100 or more like the VGC opening webcast was. Now if it were 50, then perhaps...
