So, Okay.. pack bathing suits... but is hanging up wet bathing suits an issue? I always rinse them out.. and wonder where they will hang to dry. We will have a veranda.. but don't want to lose them in the breeze!
Is there a line in the shower??:laundy:
Can't wait!

Yes there is a line in the shower. You are not allowed to hang anything out on the verandah for the reason you noted. :)

You have to take them to the laundry to dry or hang them in your bathroom. Disney does not allow towels or swim suits to be placed on the verandah. On our last cruise I didn't find that they were too wet the next morning after I let them hang in the bathroom. I brought zip lock bags for final packing knowing they would be slightly damp.

I didn't know you couldn't put them on the veranda. I lay mine out over the chairs out there haha (never on the railing of course). There were also 2 clothelines in our shower (pull out)

You can see my daughter's suit in this photo, whoops!

We bring clothes pins and pin them to the chairs on the verandah.

Didn't know I wasn't supposed to do it, but I have an elastic clothes line with rubber covered clips on it that I stretched across the veranda on our PC cruise in Jan. I hung out my sweaty workout clothes and wet swim wear on it to dry. I hope I can find the line again for Hawaii.

If it was supposed to be especially windy or stormy I brought the stuff in. Otherwise it stayed until next needed (especially the workout clothes.)

There were two clotheslines in the bathroom on the dream. I left ours outside though on the verandah. We had an oversized aft verandah. I found they dried in a couple of hours when left in the sun.

That being said, we all packed two suits so we never had to put on a wet one. I HATE putting on a wet swimsuit.

Here is a tip for you. If your suit is really wet, wring it out first. Then, take a dry towel and lay it out on the floor. Then spread your swimsuit out on the towel. Roll up the swimsuit tightly in the towel, like you wold do when rolling a sleeping bag. Then unroll it. The suit will be mostly dry already. Then hang it in the bathroom on a towel rod or in the shower on the pull out clothes line. This works best with a pool towel folded in half first. This tip works especially well if you go swimming just before you pack.

I use the pants hanger from the closet when I want to dry bathing suits on the verandah. It takes forever to dry in the bathroom.

I have to try that!

I totally do this! To make it even drier, i stand on the rolled up towel with all my weight on one foot and then the other - moving across the towel. Works like a charm.

I'm pretty sure that there is a small sign on the verandah and not leaving things there is included on the list. Also, if your stateroom host finds anything out on the verandah, they will put it inside and leave a letter advising the same.

DCL is trying to keep things from flying overboard and also to keep the ship from looking tacky.

We hung ours in the shower on the clothesline. You could also throw them in the dryer. They have several located through the ship, I think it costs around $1.50 to use the dryer.

We've usually draped ours (and our dive skins) over the backs of the verandah chairs so that they're between the chair back and the stateroom window.

Never had anything brought inside (yet).

We dry wet swimsuits on the line in the bathroom. Taking 2 swimsuits each gives you the chance to have a dry one each day.

Great question! We laid them on the chairs on the balcony during the day.

I also brought with me medium sized suction cups with hooks. (I got them at Lowes). Put them in the shower and everyone had one to hang their suits. Worked great!

The only problem with using the clothesline is when you want to take a shower you'd have to take them down. We were able to leave the suits on the hooks up as I put them on the far wall of the shower (furthest away from the shower head).

we do this too and I always make sure i lay the suit 6-18 inches down on the towel so that you fold towel over the suit before you start to roll it. We always hang our suits in the bathroom and always are dry the next morning. sometimes we dont do the towel rolling and they are still dry
