Whatcha reading?

Has anyone read the Robin Roberts book? I really like her and was curious about her autobiography. I read just about anything so I'm always looking for good ideas.:)
I don't normally read biographys but would give hers a try. I like Robin!

My next book in line to read is The Main Corpse by Diane Mott Davidson.
I don't normally quote myself but when I began reading The Main Corpse I realized that I must have skipped a book or two. So I went to my stack and sure enough, I had gotten them out of order. So, I rearranged everything and have begun The Last Suppers.

Also ordered the new JD Robb book, I am number 55 in line for that one.
I have recently become a fan of hers. I've read a couple of books out of order but think I am going to go back and start at the beginning.

Finished Eleven on Top by Janet Evanovich and picked up Lisey's Story by Stephen King. Just couldn't get in to the book. I don't know if it was the way it was written or what but after about 10 pages, I just couldn't make myself read more. I flipped through the book and read different pages but nothing stood out or interested me. Fortunately I only paid 25 cents at the local thrift store for it.

My next book is Killer Pancakes by Diane Mott Davidson.

I'm liking The Hour I First Believed by Wally Lamb. I love his writing style and have been waiting for years for something new from him. I loved She's Come Undone and I Know This Much Is True is my favorite book ever.

I just finished The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls. Hers is an incredible story. I highly recommend it, but it's one of those heart-wrenching books.

I'm reading the DIS Boards...and I can't pull myself away to get in the bed cuz everytime I refresh...a new thread gets pushed to the top that I have to jump in on :surfweb:

I'm glad to see Wally Lamb has another book out. I have also read, She's Come Undone and, I Know This Much Is True. I really enjoyed both books. I'm going to look for, The Hour I First Believed! Thanks! :thumbsup2

I think I'll give, The Glass Castle a try too. My list is growing very large because of this thread! But I'm happy! :)

I am reading Insomnia by Stephen King. Really really really long. It interests me in short bursts, but now that I have Salvation in Death by JD Robb waiting in the wings, maybe I can push through to the end. Not my favorite SK book ever. Doesn't even hold a candle to The Shining.

I am thinking of going back and starting at the beginning with them again once I finish the new one.

Just finished Lisey's Story by Stephen King. I really liked it.

Before that I read all the Sookie Stackhouse books, liked them too, especially Quinn! But as has been said, not great literature, but certainly entertaining.

I started the new Wally Lamb book about an hour ago. So far I really like it.

I just finished the new Anita Shreve book, Testimony. It was excellent. I also read The Heretic's Daughter, about the Salem witch trials, this month and that was excellent, too.

I finished Plum Lovin by Janet Evanovich in one day. It was an easy read to begin with but with an hour and a half wait in the doctor's office, I was able to read it pretty quickly. There's another man in Stephanie Plum's life that is new to me, Diesal.

Now I've started Cry of the Icemark by Stuart Hill. It's more of a teenage book but what I've read so far is good. I think that it's been made into a movie.

I just bought Keeping Faith by Jodi Picolut (sp) and Charm School by Nelson DeMille. I love reading Nelson DeMille. I can't wait for his new book to come out on paperback. I will not spend that much money on a hard cover book. Oh, its my first Jodi Picolut book too. My Sister's Keeper sounded good. That one might be next if I like this one.

I am almost done with #8 in that series. Where does Plum Lovin fit in? I love this series. The characters are hilarious. I read the alphabet books by Sue Grafton and enjoyed them, but I like the Stephanie Plum books so much better.

I am also waiting patiently for the new Patricia Cornwell book to come out. I think the last few have gone down hill but I'm hoping maybe this next one will be better. I used to LOVE her books.

I think Perri O'Shaugnessy has a new book coming out soon too that I'm waiting to read.

I just recently finished the latest Iris Johansen book and it was great. She is hands down one of my very favorite authors.

There are three Plum books where the titles are different. The first one (which I haven't read) is called Visions of Sugar Plums. It was written right after #8. And where the character Diesal must have shown up. Then Plum Lovin was written after #11 which it the last number book I have read. And the last is Plum Lucky which was written after #12. I tried to wait to get the first Plum book before I read Plum Lovin but didn't. I wished I had now. I have #12 and #13 ready to read. And I noticed that #14 came out in hardback in June.

I just started reading Dawn from the Warriors: The new prophecy series by Erin Hunter. It's a great series, I really like it.

Cry of the Icemark by Stuart Hill was really good. I'm going to have to look up the sequel.

Read The Klone and I by Danielle Steele. It was a good story line to begin with but got quite repetitive by the end of the book.

I'm halfway through I sit listening to the wind by Judith Duerk.

I've read it before and really liked it.

I just finished "8 Sandpiper Way" by Debbie Macomber and now I'm reading "Multiple Blessings" the book about Jon and Kate Plus 8.

Jenny:)

I love Debbie Macomber. I've read most of hers, but just started the first book in her Dakota series. Over the last 4 days I've read:

Mercy by Jodi Picoult
The Winding Ways Quilt by Jennifer Chiaverini
The New Years Quilt by Jennifer Chiaverini

Also finished The Christmas Sweater by Glenn Beck a few days ago. Loved that one.

After the Dakota Series I think I've got a series by Tracie Peterson to read. I'll have to dig into my bag of books from mom and see what is still there. We trade off books everytime we see each other, so I've got about a dozen or so left from the 20 she brought me 2 weeks ago.

Yes, even with 4 kids, one a preemie newborn, I still find time to read. It is one of my "vices". I read 2-4 books a week usually.
