The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood --finished re-reading it the other night. Hard to believe it was published in '85 (IIRC) because so much of it still seems possible. Creepy story but well written.

Now I'm bouncing around through about 19 pages of samples on my Kindle, trying to find something that might hold my attention; no luck so far, but I'm sure I'll find something soon.

I've finished the Rodanthe book, the one that the movie is made from. Why that book was picked for a movie, I have no idea. It's a quick enjoyable read but there are better books out there.

I also finished Ten Big Ones by Janet Evanovich. Grandma Mazur was at it again. And Ranger,

Peter and the Starcatchers by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson is next in line.

Started Motor Mouth by Janet Evanovich today. It's the sequel to Metro Girl. They are both easy reads and fun!

I loved the Motor Mouth Series. They cracked me up.

I'm reading American Wife by Curtis Sittenfeld. It's a novel based on the life of Laura Bush. Good read.

Next on my list is Waiter Rant unless the new Wally Lamb comes out on Kindle tomorrow on the release date but it doesn't look like it will.

Well, I finished Duma Key -- loved it! Stephen King is back in prime form. His writing seems to have matured so much.

I also finished the 3rd in the Sookie Stackhouse series. Those books aren't great literature or anything, but they're definitely entertaining.

I just recently bought a new Dean Koontz book, The Darkest Evening of the Year.

Oh, and I found a real treasure (for me anyway ) at Sam's Club: AC/DC Maximum Rock & Roll, which is a biography of, who else, AC/DC.

That's okay. Sometimes I just need to read some fluff. I'll look for them next time I'm at the used book store.

Well, I finished Peter and the Starcatchers today. It was interesting to see someone's take on how Peter Pan began. My daughter says there is a sequel to it. Anyone know the name?

My next book in line to read is The Main Corpse by Diane Mott Davidson.
