Whatcha Readin'?

Just an add on to my previous post-if someone would be interested in trading a couple of books with me I would like to trade "The Real Deal" and "The Brethren" together. Just send me a PM.

Thanks.

Lovers and Players by Jackie Collins.

The Shame of the Nation by Jonathan Kozol

Reading Vanity Fair right now.

I am a fiction fan, so I just started reading Dean Koontz "Forever Odd" which follows "Odd Thomas"

I read some light, easy reading books over the Christmas break such as The Notebook, Light on Snow, and now I am reading Mary, Mary. I usually read children's novels when school is in session. I read Hoot just before the break.

I am re-reading the James Herriot series All Creatures Great And Small as well as the biography of James Herriot (Alf Wight) written by his son. :goodvibes

Thank you Pollito, it's always nice to hear some good reviews! :) Did you have a favorite between the two?

I would have to say I liked "Confessions" better. "Mirror, Mirror" had historical figures in it, which made it seem to me a little farther off from the original fairy tale. Cinderella is also my favorite princess! princess:

Breath of Snow and Ashes by Diana Gabaldon. Love it.
Next comes the latest Jan Karon book, then I don't know.

Thank you Pollito! Historical figures... that's interesting! Well I suppose it doesn't really matter which we read first since we plan to read them both anyway. Maybe I'll just toss a coin! :p

"Wild Swans: Three Daughters of China" by Jung Chang. It's an amazing book! Even though it's a true story, it's so incredible it reads like fiction!

I loved Odd Thomas but I was disappointed in Forever Odd. I would be interested to know what you think.

I also read A Million Little Pieces and found it to be interesting but I tend to believe that much of it was fiction rather than a true memoir. Some of what Frey describes in totally lacking in credibility. :confused3
