We went a couple weeks ago. I was SO looking forward to the food since we rarely eat out. I was so disappointed. I'm not even that picky of an eater either.
Just from my memory (which isn't very good lol):
1. Rainforest Cafe in Downtown Disney - service was the absolute worst of our entire trip. Our waitress was rarely around. We were starving, so we ordered nachos right away. Probably 30-45 minutes later, some guy comes and brings us our food. We ask about the nachos (the kids were out of control starving at this point). The waitress came out and said there was a mixup, but they could still bring them. Forget it. The cheeseburger I had tasted like a thick brick. lol DH's expensive pasta dish was very, very small portion. The kids liked the atmosphere, and we splurged on a "volcano" dessert to make up for it. That was the only saving grace for the meal. We had one free kids meal coupon and a $25 gift card. So, for the one kids meal, my burger, DH's pasta, the volcano, and our 2 sodas, it was, I want to say at least $50 - $60 more. Ouch - at least for us. Definitely not worth it.
2. Tomorrowland Terrace - this was a counter service lunch the following day. I don't know why, but for some reason, I ordered a burger. Tasted almost identical to the one at Rainforest (like trying to chew a thick piece of cardboard), although this one had a slight burnt taste. lol DH also ordered a burger. 2 burgers, 2 kids meals, and just 1 soda, and it was about $31 All in all not bad, but not a whole lot of flavor in my opinion.
3. The next day for lunch we had counter service in DCA Adventure. I forget the name of the counter service place, but it was just a walk up window in the Hollywood backlot - right across from the Playhouse Disney thing. 2 kids hot dog meals and 2 various hotdogs (1 for me, 1 for DH), 2 sodas again was around $31. Expensive for hotdogs, but MUCH better than the meals we'd had until then.
4. Goofy's Kitchen - we ate here for dinner. It's an all you can eat buffet. We got there before they opened for dinner at 5, so we were the first to check in - and the first seated (it was nice and in the back). Our best meal of the trip. One child (the other was free), 2 adults - minus 10%
AAA discount came out to around $76 I think (this includes drinks, tax & tip!) We really liked this one a lot.
5. Rancho whatevercala (the Mexican place in DL) - lunch for our last day. This was SO incredibly nice to have after having burgers, hot dogs, pizza (at hotel) etc. It was nice to have a change. Large portions, although I wouldn't say that they were incredibly huge as I've heard others mention in the past. But it was great. Adult meals are around $10 each. I forget the total for this place. I want to say that for one soda, soft taco plate, taco salad meal, and 2 kids meals, that it was around $36 or so. The best part for DH was that the sodas here have free refills! Definitely a bonus.
Those are the only times we ate at the parks/DTD. Hope this helps.
