My first time was in 1974 (age 16), with 2 adult family friends and a bunch of teens (their nieces, nephews, sibs, and me, an honorary niece). We stayed in 2 rooms at the Contemporary (girls in one room, boys in the other). It was only MK, of course, but we stayed for 5 days. We had the best time, although when I came home I complained that "all there is to eat is hamburgers and pizza." When I went back with my parents & a cousin the following year, we discovered they had real restaurants too LOL. I guess with a bunch of teens we did the budget version :) .

My first trip was in August 2001. It was boiling but really fun so I've been back twice at Christmas. I was there for New Year's this time so I've been at Disney in 4 different years.

My first trip was in 1986, I was 14, and way to cool to be there with my parents. I don't recall going on any rides, might have went to the Country Bear Jamboree, I still have my Big Al glass. I was a big jerk to my parents.

To make it up to them, I insisted they come along with my wife on our honeymoon in 2001. They had a blast.

My grandparents wintered in Florida so our family trip was to visit them for the entire month of December. My family started going the first year the park was built and went every year (1 or 2 times) after that. You wouldn't believe how much things have changed in that entire area. One thing that hasn't changed though is the magic. It's still going strong! I can't wait to bring my husband for the first time next week!!!

My first trip to WDW was in 1976 at 5 yrs. old. My mom had remarried and they took me & my brother (10 at the time) w/ them on their Honeymoon to DisneyWorld!!!! And we stayed at the Contemporary. It was the first week of December and I don't remember too much.....but I do remember walking into Magic Kingdom and there was a HUGE Christmas in the center of Main Street. I also remember the monorail and how cool I thought it was....and we got to ride up front w/ the driver!! Woo-Hoo! :cool1:

The best moment of the trip: My mom was not feeling well so me, my brother, and our new dad :) went out for a bit and we came back to the hotel and we were walking down the corridor and we saw a snake!! Boy, did my dad run fast! He was shouting for us to get in our room. We did and he put towels under the door crack and called the front desk. It was hysterical!! He hates snakes!!

:flower: :flower:

It was 1982 and I was 12 yrs old. We went to Port St. Lucie for a week to visit a friend of my moms and we all drove up Disney and stayed offsite for three days. I remember being adamantly opposed to having my picture taken with any characters but my mom got me to take one with Gepetto and Chip and Dale. I guess I was too cool to do that. My mom was a single mom and I remember thinking that I was probably the luckiest kid to actually get to go there because it was expensive for my mom. I was in awe of it all.

1976 was my first trip!!

My first trip was Feb 1972 - I had just turned 18, quit college, packed my duffel bag and moved to Ft. Lauderdale with my best friend to take a great job. Not the 'smartest' move I've ever made  , but the 'life' experience was invaluable! We became the official 'tour guides' for every friend and family member who wanted to visit WDW in those early years . . . and I've been hooked on the magic ever since!! :wizard: :smooth:

1971. Just saw some pics my dad emailed that were taken that first trip. They were slides and he just got them onto the computer!

My first trip was August 1991. I was 11years old! I am now 25 years old & still love it!

My best friend and his family invited me to go with them in April of 1989 and it was the weekend when MGM opened officially. I still remember it like it was yesterday and it was a great trip that started my love for WDW. I've been hooked ever since. We left early on a thursday morning and stayed until Sunday night and flew home. My buddy and I went nonstop until we just about collapsed from exhaustion. Good times and great memories!

My first trip was 1973, but I was only 2. The first trip I can remember something from was in '76.

1979 back when Epcot was under construction. Didn't go back until I was married with 2 kids in May 2002 and have been seriously addicted ever since. I plan on retiring there and living the magic 24/7 one day. :)

and it was Christmas time, early December. I remember the tree was beautiful!! We stayed outside at a Day's Inn for a couple days ( it was only MK back then!) I remember the book of tickets and trying to decide what rides we wanted to do with the tickets. Then Daddy sprung for more tickets so we could do what we wanted!! We have had many more trips to the magic! I can't wait for the next trip!! One month, one week and counting!!!

My aunt moved to Orlando when I was 4 and shortly thereafter I went to WDW for the first time. I don't remember it honestly - she remembers my being carried around a lot and liking the characters. Well, the magic stuck - I will be going back in Jan. for the 20-some odd time! :earsgirl:

Early 70s. We drove from Pittsburgh, and stayed in a tent at Fort Wilderness. My sister was in diapers. This was during the summer when it was hot. My parents were saints.

Our first trip was 10 days after Sept. 11, 2001. We were hesitant to even go but at least we would all be together if anything happened, crazy way to think but had to rationalize it some way or another. Needless to say it was like having the parks all to ourselves. I don't recall us ever having to wait for anything. We loved it so much that when we return in July it will be the 4th time since 2001 :goodvibes I guess you can say that we are hooked!!

My 1st trip was in 1995. In 8 days I will be taking my 7th trip :cool1:
