What year was your first trip to WDW??

My 1st trip to WDW was when I was 8 in 1979. I went w/my parents and we stayed at the CR. Who knew 25 years later I'd be a DVC member and got 2-3 times a year?? Gotta love it!
My 1st Disney park experience was when I was 4 and I went to DL w/my mother & great aunt.

Spring Break 1980 I was a sophmore in HS and thought my parents were horrible making me leave my boyfriend for a whole week!!! Fastforward now almost 26 years I just returned from my 21st trip in Dec and am already planning the 22nd for May 06. My parents knew the boyfriend would be a passing thing but had no idea that Disney would be in my life to stay.I am proud to say I am a former CM and believe the excellant customer service skills I learned while with the company have helped me in my real job. I now take my DD6(she has been 6 times) and DM joins us every other year(she'll be joining us this trip and she can't wait!!)as she is now a fan too. My dad and step mom don't get it and my brother and his wife really dislike WDW...mom and I are hoping to steal their children for our trip so the kids aren't deprived. There is no where else I'd rather go.

I was there when it opened, but I have to admit that I really don't remember much about that first visit.

July 1986.........I was 30 years old and have been hooked ever since, all three of my grown kids are hooked too, it is a family addiction....

January of 1977, with our 2 year old! We stayed at the Poly, it was wonderful!

Hubby's first trip to Disney was in 2000. He was 28.
Oldest Son 2000. He was 3.5
Youngest son 2001, he was 10 months.

My first trip was in 1996 when I was 13...returned in 98 and 00 and lived and worked there as a CP in Spring 04...returning March 06.

First trip was with my high school sweetheart in 1986. We came to Florida to visit his family and went to MK and Epcot.

Our first time was Dec 26 1996- Jan 3 1997. It was so very crowded but it was sooo magical. My dh and I had never been before. Our DD was 10, our DS was 9 and our other DS was 4. We went with some family that had been before so they knew exactly how to get around and what to do. It was the most magical time and it was when I absolutely became obsessed with Disney. I have been hooked ever since.

My first trip was in 1971. My dad was stationed in Tampa and he took my brother and I. My next trip was not until October of LAST year! Our next trip is Oct. this year. Can you say hooked??!!

Christmas break from school 1972, I think that was the year....lol, it was so long ago..... I was at disneyland in 1956, although I don't remember it.

Trivia for you: what building now onsite was the Preview Center when WDW was under construction, before the parks opened? That building was the only "open" part of WDW I visited on my first trip. We were driving through Central Florida and my Dad knew a guy who was hired as one of the carpenters; he arranged for us to visit the construction site. The approach to the property was still through miles and miles of orange groves, and the smell in the air that day was heavenly.

Dad promised me that we would visit again once the parks were open, but he was diagnosed with terminal cancer a few months later. We never made it back together; it was one of his greatest regrets. My next visit was Grad Night 1979.

My Ds, his Step-brother and I took our first trip over July 4th of 2001. I never new till we returned home that I would become so obsessed with the place and have to return again and again.

Our first trip was 1995 when I was 30.

My parents and in-laws were going to be in Florida for march break and invited us down. My Dad suggested we take the kids to Disney while there. I phoned for admission prices (we were a one income family with 3 kids). We told my dad we would not be heading over to Disney. For christmas that year we got tickets to Disney as our present.

We only went to Mk but we fell in love. All the way home we planned how to get back there and do all the parks.

Now 10 years later we have been 15 times.

I blame the addiction on my Dad.

1st time was sept 98 honeymoon I DH really did not want to go
to WDW as i thought it was for children but Dw had been there before
and convinced me to go. The 1st time down Main St did it for me now
we joined DVC and take DS once a year.. (geez i got suckered by the mouse)

In utero was my first trip, Jan. of 1975 but it was kind of dark and I dont remember any thing of that trip.
However the next time I went was 11 and it was 1986

My DH and I first went to WDW in October of 1999...although the timing is probably a few weeks off, we do joke that our lasting souvenir of that trip is our DS5 who was born about 9 months later and what and expensive trip that turned out to be!!
