The CB is all a buzz about Christmas already. What happened to Thanksgiving?:confused3

What are you doing?

We both work on Thrusdays, so we eat on Tuesday usually. Typical meal here. I DO NOT like my Thanksgiving meal messed with!

So what are your plans?

Do you eat in, or go out?

Have friends or family over?

Decorate for Christmas after the meal?party:

The only other thing set in stone is for me to watch my Cadets in the Macy's parade!

We usually host a dinner for the "Thanksgiving orphans" , or friends who can't get home to their families for the holiday. We have the traditional meal, with a couple of vegan alternatives for our vegan friends. We don't even think about doing any decorating for Christmas until after Dec. 2, which is my DH's birthday.

My office is at the corner of 34th & Broadway in Manhattan, right across from Macy's and the main performance "stage" they set up in front of the store. However, we have yet to attend the parade because we're crowd-averse (we get enough of crowds at WDW!). Perhaps someday we'll get over the aversion and force ourselves to see it in person!

I'm supposed to be at work..

But a friend has invited us over for dinner. My DP loves turkey, but the friend makes a killer lasagna. So what does he do? Convinces her to make BOTH for us. :lmao:

We're planning on having a meal of nothing but sides (no turkey), and then putting up the Christmas decorations. If I'm lucky I'll get to watch a whole bunch of Jimmy Stewart movies as well.

Off to the parental-units in brooklyn, then hopefully home early enough to decorate a bit before leaving for Disney on the 30th :)

We'll both be working as well (as with most holidays), so we're celebrating when we feel like celebrating - and probably with turkey sandwiches. With only two people and three animals, there's not much use in making a huge turkey and sides that serve six people a piece. As for the decorations, we're still getting used to being "domestic", but she's convinced me that Christmas decorations have to be done - and probably the day of, or after, Thanksgiving.

I'm just glad that I won't have to run to the grocer's the day of Thanksgiving and fight for the last bag of marshmallows and last cans of pumpkin pie mix. Although I still may go just to make a few bucks: "I'll give you $100 for those yams!" "Done!" :thumbsup2

Well, my Navy boys can't come. :sad1: But my littlest guy can! I'll go and get him (south west Florida) on Wednesday. My DP has to work both day before and day after so he'll keep me company! LOL.

We're having my DP's Mom and Aunt (newly moved to Florida) and our little guy. Will be traditional Turkey centered dinner. :teeth: Pecan pie along with Pumpkin! Maybe, I'll get ambitious and make a lemon or chocolate one too!

We may put up the tree over the weekend. The little one will have fun with it.

Other than that, nothing too terribly over the top!

Oh, ConcKahuna! I was asked if I'd make lasagne too! LOLOLOL! I said, "Uuuuummmmmm... NO!" :teeth:

Try again in a month or so. LOL!

Then you wont have any leftovers! You can make a turkey dinner for two easy! Just get a turkey breast, some of those new microwave mashed potatoes, and stove-top stuffing! Besides, what kind of parents are you? Geesh, whats Thanksgiving without three furbabies rubbing up against you as you pull the turkey out of the oven! :rotfl2:

Hey look, I found a Gray Gardens smiley! :magnify:

We were suposed to have a Big blow out 50th B-day party for my Oldest sister. She's much, much, much older then me. Ok, only ten years. It was going to be really big. But instead she wanted us to just give her the Money so she could get a face lift. So now she has an eye lift and tighter skin and I have the weekend free to play video games. I am thankful.

We've been invited to a group dinner at the home of some friends. We're in charge of sweet potatoe, stuffing (Rachel Ray's "Stuffin Muffins" yum!) and pumpkin pie.

After dinner the entire group of us (14 people) will head on over to the Adventurers Club for a fun filled evening.

Well, it was about a month ago! :confused3

But, I don't understand the Christmas buzz either; we don't decorate until the first day of Advent.

My littlest furbaby is allergic to poultry--as am I actually!
