We plan to travel in September. We will likely spend a decent bit of time at the pool. Would you pick A Kingdom Lodge or the wilderness Lodge? We are Dvc Member’s and trying to decide what we want to try. Two adults and an almost 3y old
I personally enjoy the pools at WL better, but neither pool is significantly better than the other, both are pretty lame in the grand scheme of resort pools. EDIT: I would actually say WL because you can boat back and forth to MK (which i assume you'll spend a good amount of time at with a 3 y/o) for easy mid day pool and nap breaks. Much more convenient than any option at AKL
At AKL you can enjoy both of the pools which is a bonus. Kidani has a great splash pad. WL is my favorite resort but AKL has the better pools and dining IMO.
If you will be spending more time at MK than AK, I would vote for WL. WL has a kiddie pool area that is fun for the little ones. I don't think it's quite as good as the splash area at AKL-Kidani, but it serves it's purpose.
The other thing I like about WL is being able to take the boats over to Ft Wilderness Campground and also the Contemporary. I like the dining options at both of those places, and the boat ride makes is really convenient.
Both are very good.
We prefer the dining options at AKL.
If you will be spending more time at Mk, then WL makes sense.
Are you staying in a studio or 1 BR? Studios are similar. The 1 BR at Kidani are amazing.
AK has better pools, I do love staying there. WL is just so darn convenient and lovely and my favorite resort so they only thing that would make me pick AKL over it is free dining.
