What would you offer?

Normally I like to do my own research but it is a busy time for us accountants and I just don't have the free time to be as thorough as I usually like to be Even with the lack of time I would love to put an offer in on a resale very soon before our upcoming trip.

Soooo..... with that in mind.... what would you offer on a Saratoga Springs contract- 100 Annual points- Oct. Use year with 0 points banked but all 2015 points coming in Oct.

Remember theres a premium for smaller contracts. With only 100 points anything $78 or less would be a good deal. $82 or less is an okay deal.

My advice is pay a price you are comfortable paying. People on the Dis are not always representative of what most buyrs are paying. Buying at a place you are happy staying and saving money over direct is already happening. Losing a contract you really want over a few hundred dollars is not worth it in the long run if you put too many hours into it. Good Luck!

Depends what they are asking.
I'd want to start around $75.
Seems like settling near $80 wouldn't be out of line.

My SIL just turned down an offer I negotiated on her behalf in January. 200points, March use year, all 2015points and beyond. Buyer pays 2015 maint, closing costs and $195 admin fee.

The accepted price was $65. She walked away. I think she's regretting it now. Prices have clearly jumped in the last two months.

A good fair offer price on a 100 point would be about $75 a point, a 150+ point contract would be $68-73 a point. There are not alot of 100 point contracts out there so they tend to be a little higher.

OP take just a few minutes to read the ROFR board and you'll get a feel for what a fair offer is.But ,,the mouse is unpredictable .I've seen 100 point contracts pass @ 75. I've seen them taken @ 79.So as others have said,comfort of price is the right price.

There are currently three 100 point SSR contracts for resale, that I can find. They are priced at $79, 82 and 84. I don't really consider 100 pointers to be small where they should cost a bunch more than the larger contracts. To me 80 or less should warrant the higher price. But there are 2 small contracts at SSR for resale (89 and 72 pointers...odd contract sizes) and they are listed at $82 and $84 respectively. I'd probably try to get it for $75.
