What would you improve Disney

I'd probably stop giving so many dang discounts and just make it more affordable to get in the stupid parks. Food and all the other stuff could be a little more expensive just to make the tickets cheap enough for families to actually go..

I would make more resorts on property to accomodate larger families and not charge a king's ransom for them.

Where to start...

There are so many things that could be done it would take years:

I would put Imagination back to the original Journey Into Imagination.

I would bring back the Tapestry parades.

I would set up wheelchair and scooter rental stations out by the handicap parking areas and WDW transportation stations.

I would get rid of California Grill and bring back something along the line of the original Top of the World.

I would improve maintenance and quality control.

I would return Fulton's Crab House to the Empress Lilly complete with the Empress Room.

I would add more park benches throughout the parks.

I would build a high-speed monorail up to The Villages.

I would bring back the live entertainment and musicians they had twenty years ago.

I would build an adults-only resort.

I would add several table service restaurants to both the Studios and Animal Kingdom.

I would fire any imagineer who even suggested decorating the castle.

That's just for starters. The first thing would be to make sure everything was as clean as we used to expect.

Bring back Mr. Toad's Wild Ride for pete's sake along with Dixie Landings! Duh! :thumbsup2

My cranky old lady answer is one resort sit down restaurant each night adult (over 12) only dining.

Make front of the line passes for purchase like they have at other parks. I would glady pay extra for them.

Hire 12 year old boys to take hammers to all the fingerprint machines.

Bring back the quality food and selection they had a few years ago.

Put in a FOTL system similar to Uni.

Stop making rides where people ride past screens that have characters on them.

Declare a moratorium on all attractions that spritz people with water - it's getting old!

Put in rides that a ten year old boy and his sister and parents could all enjoy. Enough with the stuff that is appropriate for the most scaredy-cat four year old and his overprotective mommy!

Make the APs hard plastic.

Drop the rope. Let 'em run.

Get the park bathrooms clean like they used to be!!! I should have put this first.

Have daily a.m. EMHs during the "off" season, too.

Put one Quiet Pool in each resort and keep it quiet.

Improve housekeeping. At least have them remove the belongings of the previous guests so that the new ones can keep the illusion alive that housekeeping has bothered to LOOK through the room and *maybe* clean it.

That's just off the top of my head. I reserve the right to add and amend. :)

Hmmm... My head is growing big with imagined power... :rolleyes1

Let's see, I would:

- bring back the unique performers at Epcot (living statues, etc)
- start cycling the characters more so that you would see different characters when you visited (this would be a draw for the character hunters, too)
- offer a wider range of choices at counter service places. Not necessarily increase the size of the menus at each place, but have different options at different places.
- offer some sort of re-fillable mug at the parks
- have one adult only resort. Disney is one of the top honeymoon destinations and I think they're missing the ball on this one. They could add a restaurant or two as well, to draw other adults to the resort for dining (and not at V&A's pricing!)
- Have an immediate death sentence in place for those people who use flash pictures on dark rides. (Okay, not really. But this is a pet peeve of mine. I've never been on Pirates without flashes going off.)

I'm sure there's more, so I reserve the right to add.

Nice to see some constructive criticism instead of another "Disney done me wrong" thread!

I'd add better ways to deal with the queues, like letting people pay extra for Front of Line access. I'd enforce a very stringent "no cutting in queue" rule. And one more thing about crowding: I'd make the admission dependent on the day of the year: So we would now need to buy admission for specific days, paying more for holidays, paying less for the middle of January.

I'd re-do the World Showcase Lagoon so that more of the full-service restaurants have views of Illuminations, paying for it with a special "entertainment fee" tacked on to the meals served there during the show. I'd look into other things that can be done to create more unique full-service dining experiences that folks would pay extra for.

I'd be much quicker to remove old attractions and live acts at Epcot, replacing them with new attractions. I'd want frequent guests to always arrive at the parks feeling that they're never been here before.

Things I would love to see happen.....

1. More dark rides at AK and DHS. Even with the new rides, I think they could each use another.

2. Another ts restaurant at AK.

3. 10 y/o should not be adult price for buffets. I don't care if they do a jr. price, but not adult price.

4. We aren't a family of 5, but I agree that there needs to be more options for larger families.

5. I would love to see another country in WS.

6. Cleanliness and CM attitude go a looooong way with most people. I would love to see them stay on top of that. We have met some absolutley wonderful cm's and they really make a difference in a vacation!

7. I would like to see some of the creativity added back to the menus.

I would expand the monorail system. At bare minimum each park would have a monorail to the TTC.

Add at least five more major attractions (mostly thrill rides) to each park.

Stop building lodging.

-Cut back on the "extras" (free dining etc) and bring ticket prices back down.
-Make passes Prepurchase only so that they could limit the amounts of people in the parks better and so that you wouldn't have people all upset that the parks are full, cause really that seems unfair, you would know in advance.
-Turn down the volume of some attractions.
-Better offerings for large families.
-And have a no touching rule, yes my son is cute, but he gets a bit upset (putting it lightly) when people touch him. (but this is just a life rule, not just Disney)

Oooo... I really LIKE the idea of making passes pre-purchase, for specific dates, with capacity limitations. I want that to be my idea too! :)

Just because it's morning and this is the only thing that I think about at this hour:

Get rid of that sludge that Disney calls coffee and get something worth drinking!

Oh, I feel better just getting that off of my chest. Now for another cup of Gevalia.

Front of the line passes you can buy.

More things for boys... sorry girls but enough with the princesses!

Analyze Walt's original philosophies for success and attempt to taylor them to today's business/sociological climate and instill those values in the fabric of today's company, from top to bottom.

Find some way to bring back the magic. People are grumpy in the parks. It seems that they are on a battlefield mission than a vacation.

I am totally against the paying for the front of the line passes and have absolutely NO problem whatsoever with the fastpass system as is thank you very much.

Phew...ok feels better to let that out, now I can move on.

I'd pay the employees better so we could have more of that uber friendly Disney magic that we used to experience from the cast members. These days so many of them seem bored and annoyed, and who can blame them?

I'd give DHS a total overhaul. Tower of Terror, Rockin Roller coaster, and Fantasmic are about the only things I do there anymore.

I agree with the poster who suggested rotating different characters in the parks more. I'm tired of seeing the same ones over and over again.

More streetmosphere like they had in the olden days with bands and such.

KEEP the Pooh ride but also bring back Mr. Toad. Why does it have to be one or the other?

New Land at the Magic Kingdom.

Bring back the old music from "The Land" ride at Epcot!!!! "Just listen to the land we all love, Nature's plan will shine above, listen to the land, listen to the land. Just make believe, you're a tiny little seed, a tiny little seed that's reachin up to meet your needs.........." Oh yes, I could go on. LOL

More food options. (especially breakfast)

I'd open some table service restaurants with Counter Service prices.

And something has got to be done about the stroller situation. I honestly don't know what....but it's getting to the point where there are so many of them that it's almost impossible to walk anywhere anymore.

Expand the monorail sytem.

Build MORE value resorts. Believe it or not, some of us who only live a couple of hours from the parks DO like to stay on property, but I'm NOT paying more than a value resort price. I could drive home and come back the next day for cheaper than staying at a moderate priced resort. But, it drives me nuts that the value resorts are ALWAYS full. We live 2 hours from the parks so we don't make our plans and reservations month and months in advance. For once it would be nice to call 2 weeks before a visit and get a value room instead of having the person on the phone tell you that there is only one room left on property and it's $500 a night.
