I went a long time without being sick but we def. did get hit with something end of December 2021. We tested like crazy every several days multiple companies, had someone professionally test us and all were negative for covid. I'd count myself as a relatively healthy person but it'd be unusual to be completely unscathed from
something in the 3 1/2 years now that covid has been going on. Although the reverse is I haven't had my normal once a year sinus infection since 2020 (got it end of 2019/early 2020).
Which was my point about extremes because really
who here has said that? The act of testing does not mean you're sitting out your life experiences. The opinion voiced like that makes it sound like "if I don't test then I don't have to know and really I just don't want to know" and look I get that on a human level but it's not fair to act like those who make that decision to test or make a more cautious choice like the OP are just not out there doing anything in life.
