What would you do?

Would you book a cruise onboard and then transfer to a TA like Dreams Unlimited? I saw a cruise and on DCL it's $3649 (with the 10% discount and $200 ship credit comes out to be around $3077) and the same cruise, same room, same time on another site for $2887 (minus the staeroom credit & rebate..final cost would be $2737). Obviuosly, the second is cheaper. Would it be better to book with the second or book with DCL onboard and then transfer the reservation to the new TA? Does DCL ever discount their cruises themselves? Would it be possible to get a better deal after we book onboard? I hope I am making sense. I just want to get the best deal possible and well we've never cruised before. TIA

With that kind of savings I would book it now with the lowest price possible. The cost will go up in 2 1/2 months with DCL & the TA could sell out of those rooms so their price would go up to. Also, the group discounts with the TAs don't let you keep the $200 room credit so that sounds like your best bet.
