We have 2 weeks off at the end of August.

I am thinking Orlando again but some people have suggested Las Vegas.

We really love our annual trip to Orlando and I am worried that I would regret it if we went to Las Vegas instead, plus i dont think we would need more than 5 days ther so would need somewhere else for the rest of the holiday.

What do you think ?

Do both! 4 nights LV, 10 nights Orlando. Both Virgin and Travel City do combo deals, so that sounds like the perfect solution.

Sorry!!!, but how can anything else compare to DisneyWorld. At a stretch I might be persuaded to do New York. Are you taking children? If so, then it has to be WDW.

Good luck in your choice.

went to vegas last october. it is i truly great place but 5-7 nights is enough time to see and do anything worth doing! and despite all that you read it a geared 99.9% towards adults, dont get me wrong there are things that you can enjoy with the kids i.e mandalay bays aquarium and adventure dome at circus circus but its mostly bars clubs oh and casinos!. so ORLANDO ORLANDO ORLANDO ORLANDO you know you wanna!!!!

Have you checked what the weather is like in August in Las Vegas. Isn't it the hottest month ? Not sure myself but have a feeling it is hot hot hot.

I went to Vegas in August on my honeymoon (it was a LA/Vegas/Grand Canyon/LA trip. It was hot, damned hot, and to top it all I had Honeymoon's disease, this started within minutes of us arriving at the first hotel of our trip - the girls will know what that is. Anyway had to walk about a mile up the strip in blazing heat to a drug store to fill my prescription from the quack in LA, who had pleaded with me to try his concoction first. Got to the drugstore didn't have generic, had to fork out a fortune for branded drugs, did the trick though, our honeymoon got started in the Grand Canyon!!!

However, personally given the choice, it would be Orlando for me. If you haven't done Vegas though it would be good to a least try it for a few days, as suggested by the previous poster.

Thx for your comments.

We have decided to do both !!

However we will do the usual 2 weeeks in Orlando this year hopefully and then a Fly Drive next year to Las Vegas Los Angeles etc.
